Since I am doing BTech from LPU and I did research a lot about these colleges before enrolling in LPU, I can say LPU is better in terms of placements.

  • More than 500+ recruiters visit the campus for placements every year.
  • BTech CSE placements at LPU recorded INR 42 lakhs as the highest salary package. Additionally, LPU had 110+ recruiters from top colleges like IITs, IIMs, and NITs.
  • The highest monthly stipend for any kind of internship at LPU is around 80k.

Some notable placements include:

  • Tanya Arora - final year BTech CSE student - INR 42 lakh job offer from Microsoft
  • Amazon offered INR 28 lakhs package.
  • Utkarsh - Placed at Google HQ in Silicon Valley - Package of INR 1 crore.

B.E. Civil Engineering, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (2019)

In terms of placements, Chandigarh University is better than the other universities mentioned. During Chandigarh University placement 2022, 757 recruiters made more than 7500 placement offers.

Here are the recent placement highlights of the institutes.

Institute  Average CTC (in INR)
Chitkara University  7 LPA
Thapar University  6-7 LPA
CGC Landran 7.50 LPA
Chandigarh University  8 LPA
Lovely Professional University  7 LPA

CU has better recruiters, better packages, and better alumni ratings.

Since all the five universities, Chitkara University, Thapar University, CGC Landran, Chandigarh University and Lovely University are well established institutes, one can expect the placements to be equally good as well. The following points mentioned below highlight various aspects of placements at each of these universities:

Chitkara University:

  • The highest package offered at the institute was INR 29.3 lakhs per annum to a CSE student.
  • About 150 different companies visited the institute with the median salary being INR 8 lakhs per annum.

  • INR 35 lakhs per annum is the highest offer made at the institute with multiple MNCs offering packages between INR 15 to 25 LPA.
  • Top companies like ATS infrastructure, L&T constructions, Verizon, Reliance Communication recruit students from the college.

LPU:

  • More than 2000 students have been placed at the institute at the 650 different companies recruiting students at the college every year.
  • The highest salary package of INR 42 lakhs per annum was offered by Microsoft to a CSE graduate.
