When considering the decision to pursue an MBA, it is important to remember that this is a significant investment and it is important to make sure that the program being chosen is the best fit for one's career aspirations and goals.

Given this, it is strongly recommended to give the Common Admission Test (CAT) one more try, even if you have previously attempted the exam and not performed as well as desired. While it may be tempting to settle for a lower-ranked business school or program, it is important to keep in mind that the CAT is a competitive exam, and scoring well on it is crucial to gain admission to the most prestigious business schools in the country.

It is important to note that the quality of education, placements, and reputation of a business school will take time to develop and it's a long-term investment. Additionally, as the MBA is a big investment, you don't want to end up with an average education, if you could have been in a better institute with one more try.

Furthermore, with one more year of experience, you would be in the most preferred experience band which makes entry a bit easier, so the odds of getting into the institute of your choice are higher. Therefore, it is recommended to give the CAT one more try, with the goal of securing admission to the institute that aligns best with your career aspirations and goals.
