M.Tech (Electronic Systems) from IIT Bombay

There are fewer placement opportunities available for IIT BHU MTech branches compared to BTech branches. Most MTech students apply for jobs through off campus placements. You can get placed in the IT sector if you have good coding skills. Companies recruiting core branch students are fewer in number. As per IIT BHU placement highlights the average CTC for most MTech branches is around INR 6-8 LPA.

The placements for the M.Tech students vary from branch to branch. If you are from core branches like Electronics then you can be easily recruited in companies like Intel and Qualcomm. Electrical students can also apply to electronic companies except few. If you have merit you can bag an offer from these companies. These companies come for placements on the very first day and give a very good package of around 20 to 25 lakhs. There are a few core companies that come for placement other than these two.

The opportunities for software companies are huge. The catch is you have to be very good at coding. Many big companies like Google, Goldmann Sachs will make you eligible for placements but you got to know how to do coding. Other than these big companies there are many several mid to small companies that will allow you to sit for their placement, but its all on how you use that opportunity.

If you are going to study at IIT BHU as an M.Tech student, then you start coding from the very first semester and master any one language. If possible develop any special skillset like front-end developer, back-end developer, web developer, etc. There are a number of small and big companies that look for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning profiles also. So if you are interested in AI or ML you can pursue that too.

Better do an online course to make your CV strong. You can also do your M.Tech project based on these topics, that would be even better. These things will surely help you get a job offer. Best Of Luck.
