The average salary of an Electrical Engineer at IIT Bhubaneswar is INR 20.94 LPA. This is according to the highlights of IIT Bhubaneswar placement 2022. Here are the placement details of EE for this year. 

Highest CTC  INR 44.10 LPA
Lowest CTC  INR 6 LPA
Median CTC  INR 15 LPA

Placement rate for the Electrical Engineering branch is 96.23%.

For the batch of 2013-17, as per the placement statistics released by the institute, the average package for electrical engineering was 8.5 LPA, more than 80% of the placements were in the core companies, which is the highest among all IITs, considering this 8.5 LPA is really an impressive average package as compared to other IITs for electrical engineering. The overall highest package of IIT Bhubaneswar for that batch was 38 LPA. The average packages for other core departments like Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering was 14 LPA and 8.8 LPA respectively. The highest package for electrical engineering for the same batch was around 16-17 LPA. Moving on to the 2019 placement statistics, in the 2015-19 batch 86% of the students were placed from the electrical engineering batch, with the average placement for the whole batch being 11.75 LPA which increased to 15 LPA for the 2016-2020 batch. While the average salary for the whole batch has gone up by 30% for the batch of 2016-20, likewise an increase in the packages has also been seen for electrical engineering with the average placement in the branch of electrical engineering being around 10 LPA for the 2016-2020 batch. Companies like General Electric(G.E) and Samsung were amongst the major recruiters for electrical engineering.
