Since both the colleges are evolving so it is difficult to make the comparison. But if we see in overall terms, AIIMS Patna is the better option as it is centrally governed while IGIMS Patna is governed by the state to a large extent. 

• Now, there are PG courses in AIIMS Patna including clinical as well as non-clinical branches whereas IGIMS does not have PG courses in the clinical branch. 
• Also, IGIMS is way too expensive than AIIMS. 
• The academics are better at AIIMS Patna while the patient exposure is better at IGIMS Patna. 
• IGIMS has better connectivity and location as compared to AIIMS Patna. 

Lastly, the choice is yours. But if you have an option between the two, always go for AIIMS Patna as the institute has its own name in the country that can help you boost your career ahead.
