How is jadavpur university?

Jadavpur University is one of the prestigious state-level research universities in West Bengal. Here are some things I got to know from my friends studying there. The following are the points to be considered before joining.

Ranking

The university has maintained an excellent ranking throughout the years. The ranks of the university are below.

• It is ranked 8th in NIRF Ranking for Universities in India 2021.
• Ranked in the band of 651-700 in QS World Rankings. It is one of India's few internationally recognized institutions.
• The university is ranked 17th in NIRF Ranking for Engineering 2021.

Infrastructure

The university is well-equipped with all the amenities required until the placements. The infrastructural facilities include:

• Four hostels for girls and nine hostels for boys. The capacity is more than 1600 students.
• The students' Mess Committee manages the hostel mess under the supervision of the hostel campus.
• A library is stocked with all the books, journals, magazines, and research papers.
