Both RICS and NICMAR are reputed. On an overall scale, NICMAR will be a better option. It has huge contribution in the construction industry of India.

NICMAR Pune placements are pretty good. You will get opportunities to join reputed MNVs, Contractors, Banks, and IT companies. According to the recent placement highlights, the Real Estate Urban Infrastructure Management had an 100% placement rate. Some of the major recruiters that visit the campus placements are ITC, KPMG, Goldman Sachs, etc. The average CTC offered by the institute is INR 6.75 LPA.

In the construction management sector, NICMAR is a well-recognized brand name.

NICMAR is undoubtedly one of the best renowned Institutes in the country, especially for aspiring civil engineering professionals. One of my friends had chosen the RICS School of Built Environment over NICMAR and here are the reasons.

  • RICS has international recognition. It is an organization that captures the western continent and it acts as a serious badge that hardcore professionals possess.
  • You will be a globally recognized professional.
  • The faculty at RICS School of Built Environment faculty makes you feel a step closer to the industry.
  • They have some amazing networking assets.
  • The RICS School of Built Environment is accredited by RICS and is affiliated with Amity University.
  • You will get an MBA Degree and not a Post Graduate Diploma after two years of learning,
  • The fees structure is less and it is nearly half of NICMAR.

Here are the placement stats for the year 2020.

Percentage of student placed 87%
Highest CTC offered INR 19 LPA
Average CTC offered INR 6.5 LPA
Top recruiters Chuan Lim Constructions (Singapore), Allied Builders (Seychelles/ Mauritius), HLK Infrastructure, Prestige Estate, APREA, DSR Infrastructure

Sometimes, the institute convinces the companies to recruit students in large numbers and reduce the package and this totally affects the students. Be it RICS or NICMAR, being placed solely depends on hard work, CGPA, and luck.
