Can a dropper convert the GD/PI to an admission in Nitie? If, yes what are the consequences the person has to suffer during the span of the course and in placements?

There are a number of students in the new sessions who hold a bit of a gap in their education. Being a dropper is not a big deal and does not possess any destructive concerns. 

However, some of the companies do take it into account as a negative consequence during the placement process. But do not let your spirits down and face it head on. It’s the skills you possess that would help you to make it through the entire process.
