studied at National Institute of Industrial Engineering

If you are considering pursuing a postgraduate diploma in management at NITIE, Mumbai, it is important to assess your priorities and career goals before making a decision solely based on salary prospects. Here are some points to keep in mind:

  • NITIE is a premier institute of national importance in the field of Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, Industrial Safety and Environmental Management. Its postgraduate diploma in Industrial Management (PGDIM) and postgraduate diploma in Project Management (PGDPM) programs are well-regarded.
  • While NITIE's PGDPM program can lead to lucrative job offers, it is important to note that pursuing the program solely for the purpose of a high salary may not be the best idea. You need to identify which area you would like to work in, whether it is the managerial or technical domain, and choose a program accordingly.
  • NITIE's PGDPM program focuses on developing managerial skills in areas such as Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Marketing, Finance, and Human Resources Management. On the other hand, the PGDIM program focuses on the technical aspects of Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing Management.
  • It is advisable to weigh the pros and cons of pursuing a program at NITIE and consider other factors such as your personal interests, aptitude, and career aspirations before making a decision. Pursuing a program just for the sake of a high salary might not be fulfilling in the long run.
  • While salary is an important consideration, it is not the only factor to consider when choosing a career. Factors like job satisfaction, growth opportunities, work-life balance, and company culture are equally important to ensure a fulfilling career.

Ultimately, it is important to choose a program and career path that aligns with your interests, strengths, and goals. Use your life wisely by considering all factors, and make a decision that will lead to a fulfilling and satisfying career.

Studied PGDPM at NITIE (2019)

NITIE Mumbai and IIT Madras are both among the most reputed engineering colleges in India. Both of these colleges have a great curriculum and the faculty members are highly qualified.

However, if you see from the placement point of view, then NITIE PGDPM is the better option. NITIE has an amazing placement record with an average CTC of 20 LPA. After 10 years if you have the right skill and talent, you can expect your salary to be around 50 to 60 LPA.

On the other hand, in IIT Madras the average CTC is around 15 LPA and after 10 years your salary average belongs between 25 LPA to 30 LPA. The highest package this year is 88.82 LPA but that doesn’t give a clear picture of the placement drive as the average CTC is less.

So, judging by placement record, NITIE is definitely the better choice between the two as it has a better ROI.
