The waiting list movement of FORE varies each year. There are many factors that influence the waiting list movement, i.e. general cutoff trends in other colleges, new IIM waiting list movement, etc.

Usually, for tier-II colleges like FORE, around 50% of the waiting list gets clear. But, there are no ways to be certain about the waiting list movement. For some academic years, the waiting list didn’t move at all, in the past.

When a student is converted and takes admission to the college, the waitlist of the college gets affected. A student takes an admission when he/she gets completely sure of the reputation and other fields. It depends totally on the converted candidate.

  • The number of waitlists differs every year and hence it is difficult to provide an exact number.
  • There is no guaranteed admission if a college calls any student for the interview.
  • The admission depends on several other factors.
  • The waitlist varies in every college and so the factors differ from college to college.
  • Conversion of the waitlist is based on the student taking the admission along with the other choices/calls he/she considers.
  • The rare case is when the waitlist gets minimum or maximum, as it could get minimum or zero if every student takes the admission after the conversion and gets maximum amount when every student goes to any other college for admission.
  • For example, if there is a batch of 180 in the PGDM course, the waitlist could be around 80-100. That enables the clearance of a 50% waitlist in the Tier-II colleges.

This is something I knew about the waitlists at the FORE School of Management and how they function. Make sure to do proper research before committing to anything.
