Studied at Amrita University

My brother completed his B.Tech from Amrita University and trust me, getting into top US universities is not an easy job even after trying hard. You need to maintain the following profile to get into MIT or any other top US varsity.

  • Good GPA: 9.0+
  • Good GRE scores (For MIT 336+)
  • Good TOEFL Score (For MIT 115+)
  • High-level projects that are relevant to your opted research field
  • A good number of Journals or international conference publications or presentations.
  • Relevant work experience at some Core Company may be preferred.

Maintaining such a profile is quite tough especially in universities like Amrita University. It is a fairly new university and has a great Mechanical Dept but the emphasis on research is pretty narrow, mostly limited to Standard research in Robotics and Automobiles. High-level projects and research is not that remarkable as you can achieve in IITs which might help you get into MIT.
