Which is relatively better for marketing, TAPMI or BIM Trichy?
If you want certain features like high-quality infrastructure, a diverse student body, or a wonderful location, BIM may not be the best choice.
However, BIM is a good choice if you want to learn management in its purest form, study with famous professors, have a high return on investment, experience southern Indian culture, enjoy a variety of extracurricular events & an active nightlife, and have great job opportunities, including at McKinsey, Asian Paints, and E&Y. Firstly, you need to know that TAPMI is not a B school in the industry, and students usually opt for it as their last option. It is mainly due to the recruiting companies who come for placements.
However, TAPMI is the first MBA college in India to get an AACSB accreditation, and recently they've also acquired the AMBA accreditation- which works as a brand name for employers when recruiting candidates. Which one should I choose: TAPMI, FORE, or LBSIM?
Honestly speaking, TAPMI, FORE, and LBSIM are very similar in terms of curriculum. Many of my friends have completed PGDM from FORE and TAPMI. Even the comp ones that visit the campus for placements are very similar and not much comparison can be done between the 2 B Schools. The placements report too will reveal a similar list of companies visiting. Some minor differences between these B Schools are
- TAPMI is a residential campus unlike FORE and therefore has an upper hand in this aspect. You can spend more time on group research and assignments.
- FORE has a locational advantage compared to TAPMI as it is located in the capital city whereas TAPMI is situated on the Konkan Coast.
Recruiters consider all top 2 B Schools in the same league. What matters more than your B School choice is what you plan to do from your PGDM course.
