Is Amity university better than Karunya university for bioinformatics?

DS
Diksha Singh Posted On : September 10th, 2021
Studied at Karunya University

When it comes to Bioinformatics neither of these two colleges offer any advantage over the other. It would not be possible for you to get a job during on-campus recruitments with a UG degree in bioinformatics. To open up your opportunities, you would have to go for a Master’s degree.

Now coming to the location of both these institutions. Amity University is situated in the NCR region of India and you can expect to have a thrilling and fascinating city lifestyle. The campus of Karunya University is surrounded by hills from all sides. The campus would be a bit laid back and peaceful, giving you plenty of time to reflect and introspect.

Amity University is a well-known institution that everyone knows about, whereas Karunya University is barely known among the student communities of India.

Is Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology better than Amity University Noida?

CM
Chanyka Mitra Posted On : August 14th, 2020
Galgotias University (2020)

Amity University is certainly better in comparison to that of the Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology (If there are no financial constraints regarding fee) mainly due to their placement stats and infrastructure. Major factors that can be considered for comparison are:

Fee Structure: Amity is comparatively much more expensive than Galgotias and should be considered as an option if there are no financial constraints although it does provide scholarships and education loan options (refer to their official website for the details).

Location: Since Amity is located at a prime location (i.e. near Noida Sector 18) it helps the students by providing them better exposure (especially for CS and IT students due to the presence of major IT firms) for internships etc. than that of Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology which is located in Greater Noida.

Placements: Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology lacks in terms of placement when compared to Amity University. Placement stats of both institutes are as follows:

AMITY UNIVERSITY (PLACEMENT STATISTICS 2019-20)

  • Around 525 companies visited college for campus placement drives.
  • More than 1700 placement offers were provided to students.
  • Highest and Lowest package offered were INR 30 LPA and INR 3.0 LPA respectively.
  • Average package offered was around INR 4.5 LPA
  • Some of the major companies that visited for campus placements include Accenture, IBM, Byju’s, Hyundai, Keyence, Oracle, SHELL, Sapient, Sirion Labs, etc.

GALGOTIAS COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY (PLACEMENT STATISTICS 2018-19)

  • More than 800 students were placed during campus placement drives.
  • Highest package offered was INR 10 LPA.
  • Average Package offered was around INR 3.50 LPA
  • Some of the major companies that visited for campus placement drives included Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Capgemini, byju’s etc.

Thus, Amity University can be considered a better option over Galgotias. Although since the final call is yours so it depends on you what to choose as eventually it’s your decision that will matter.

Do Amity B.A Journalism and mass communication have a scope? Which campus is the best in terms of both the fees and education?

MS
Medha Saha Posted On : July 7th, 2021
Studied at Amity University, Kolkata (2019)

Nowadays, B.A. Journalism and Mass Communication is on a boom and it has a good scope. According to some of my friends studying at the Gwalior, Amity is the best one in terms of both the fees as well as the education.

The Amity School of Communication (ASCO) is one the most prominent institutes of Media education in the Gwalior region of Madhya Pradesh.

  • Firstly, the main focus of ASCO is to make people aware of high-quality media education in the region of Madhya Pradesh (Gwalior).
  • Secondly, to produce highly qualified media professionals – print and electronic journalists, anchors, creative designers, producers, presenters, etc.
  • With a Journalism degree, you can also work as Advertising professionals, public relations professionals, photojournalists, and academicians in the field of media studies.
  • Moreover, the program thus consists of six semesters over three years.
  • Students study 11 different subjects per semester with a perfect blend of practical and theoretical knowledge.

Scope:

  • The growth of social media and online platforms has opened many more opportunities, other than print and television.
  • It has gradually become a competitive field. But due to the constant demand, they will require a lot of professionals.
  • Thus the scope will increase each day.

If you choose to pursue BJMC, then it’s a win. You can look forward to working in the fields such as public relations, television, films, publishing, journalism, editing, direction, etc. Furthermore, the talented and trained individuals in India and abroad are given lucrative and attractive positions as journalists, actor, editor, screenwriters, RJ, producers, and VJ.

You need to attempt TS ICET to get admission to Osmania University’s MBA course. TS ICET MBA cutoff score for 2022 is expected to be around 17845
