Delhi provides you with nightlife whereas Allahabad does not. Allahabad is not a metropolitan city like Delhi. If you want these two things, MNNIT is not for you. But it will definitely provide you with great learning opportunities. You can enjoy yourself a lot with your friends, more than you expect. Hence, it does not become less enjoyable just because it lacks nightlife and the tag of a metropolitan city.

Transportation matters a lot when it comes to placement drive. HR of reputed MNCs don’t have enough time to travel via road or train for recruitment purposes. Despite not having an airport before, MNNIT Allahabad has managed to keep its placement statistics outstanding.

So, CSE from MNNIT is one of the best. You can definitely consider it as a valid option. 

The sports facilities at MNNIT Allahabad are inadequate, and much can be done to improve them. Though facilities for sports such as cricket, football, tennis, basketball, and badminton are available, items can be issued without difficulty. 

There are numerous shortcomings on the part of the administration in terms of providing adequate facilities and motivation to students who participate in these games.

• The institute has an old, non-air-conditioned gym with all the necessary equipment. The gym hall is large and has high roofs to help with the intense heat and humidity. However, the administration does not invest in its renovation. There is a scarcity of weights for serious lifters.
• They also made wrong decisions, such as dividing the gym time equally between boys and girls, despite the fact that girls are never interested in gym or bodybuilding. They also made it mandatory for students to follow the trainer's advice and regime whether they needed it or not.
• Few people are aware that this institute has a swimming pool that is currently closed, most likely due to an accident that occurred a few years ago in which a student died. The authorities have since closed the swimming pool. However, the administration never attempts to change the situation.

All of this is taking place while this institute receives a yearly grant of around Rs 100 crores. The sad reality is that all of the money goes to the corrupt higher authorities of the Institute, and we can not do anything.

It depends upon the state you belong to. I have a few friends from both NIT Calicut and NIT Allahabad and based on the reviews I got from them, l recommended that you go for NIT Allahabad. Here are some reasons why.

• Allahabad is in close proximity to Delhi, as opposed to Calicut. The faculty of Delhi’s top universities visit the Allahabad campus often and rather, conveniently.
• The course structure at both NIT Calicut and NIT Allahabad are similar. This gives you the freedom to choose the Allahabad campus and not move extremely far down the south. However, in case you belong to Kerala, you can opt for NIT Calicut.

Having said that, you are required to concentrate on what your goals are; and consider your aims following M.Tech. Choosing an institute based on that will be better. 

MNNIT Allahabad is an excellent institution. It was the country's first college to offer a B. Tech. — CSE program.

Placements: In terms of placements, NIT Allahabad outperforms all other NITs, with this year's average of 17 LPA. Almost every major company that visits IITs visits MNNIT Allahabad on a regular basis.

MNNIT does not have a lot to brag about in terms of faculty, research, and MS opportunities. There are a few faculty members in the CSE department who are exceptionally good and eager to assist with research, while others are simply present. Collaboration with foreign universities for MS/Ph.D. is almost nil.

MNNIT is considered among the top 4 NITs in the country. Thus MNNIT will definitely be a better choice than NIT Rourkela.

2. Placement: The placement record of the COE branch is very good. That makes the cut-offs high. Also, the culture of coding in NSIT is pretty serious. You will be every second student doing the coding.
3. Opportunities: There are various institutes in Delhi for CAT/GRE/GATE, that will help you in clearing these exams. Also, there are various coding institutes like Blocks, Coding Ninja, Pepcoding, etc. These will help you polish your skills, and help you secure good packages.
4. Near to Home: You can also enjoy your hostel life and home life. During exam days, you can visit home to concentrate on your studies. 

Therefore, if you are thinking of joining the Netaji Subhas University of Technology then go for it. As there are several advantages of joining the NSIT COE branch. Also, in the long run, your skills matter, not from which college you have studied.

MNNIT Allahabad is good for opting for CSE. If you get admission at MNNIT Allahabad, then join it without a doubt.

Therefore, you can join the MNNIT Allahabad CSE program without any second thought. As labs, placement of the CSE program is good in MNNIT Allahabad.

The straight answer is NO. MNNIT, Allahabad does not need a student body just like all leading IITs or even IIIT Allahabad. There are some merits of having a student body such as:-

• You can raise your concerns with the college administration more effectively and the student bodies will act as an interface between the students and the administration.
• It will be helpful in the smooth conduct of various fests and dependence on professors for permission will reduce.

However, there are many arguments against student bodies regarding their actual effectiveness:-

• They become a few CV points for certain students and no actual gain for normal students.
• The above point along with their better industry interface due to sponsorship hunting during fests leads to them gaining better placement offers than others, so not really helpful for average students.
• As for raising concerns, this can be done and has been going on with softer methods such as signature attaching with letters of concerns with varying degrees of success.

Student bodies are not absolutely necessary. They can provide a façade without any real gain for average students with power concentration is very people’s hands. MNNIT, Allahabad has been running smoothly for all these years by the administration and the professors and can also run like this for years to come.
