SS
Savi Sharma Posted On : December 12th, 2023

For the BHU PET of MSc. Forensic Science, you must possess a good knowledge of the class 12th syllabus of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology). Along With it, you must know the basics of Forensic Science.

The entrance exam isn’t easy (especially the Physics section) if your basic concepts are not clear. Revise the 12th class syllabus of Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The Forensic section is easy, and requires basic knowledge of the field. Someone who has studied Forensic Science in the past can easily answer those questions.

If you follow this advice, you’ll surely crack the entrance exam and get into BHU Varanasi for your MSc. Forensic Science.

Yes, one can get admitted to BHU for BA (Honors) in Art with this score. The cutoff score for that year, released by the university, should also be kept in mind. The cutoff varies from year to year depending upon the difficulty level of the question paper. Here is the approximate range of cutoff for each category,

  • General category – 150-190
  • Obc - >135
  • Sc - >120
  • ST - >100

The cut-off score for BA (Hons) in Art for the year 2019 was as follows.

Category

Cutoff-score

OBC

965

General

1568

SC

623

ST

For the year 2020, the minimum qualifying marks for the different categories are :

  • General category - 35%
  • Sc category - 25%
  • ST category -25%
  • OBC category- 35%

Therefore, keeping in mind the above-mentioned percentile 204 marks is a safe mark in UET for BA, especially in the Arts department where the competition is a little less. So, stay motivated and hope for the best.`

Which is better, IIM Sirmaur tourism and hospitality or FMS BHU?

KA
Kumar Abhijit Posted On : January 19th, 2023
Former Student at Indian Institute of Management Sirmaur (2019–2021)

FMS BHU gives an edge to IIM Sirmaur in almost every aspect. The fact that it is a baby IIM yet to establish its position in the industry is the main drawback of IIM Sirmaur. Even its IIM tag lacks credibility and worth because of its weak alumni base and below average placements. However, if you are specifically choosing IIM for the course and not the tag, then you might go for it.

FMS BHU is one of the leading B Schools technically due to its early establishment. It has an upper hand in the following aspects when compared to IIM Sirmaur

  • Better placements than IIM Sirmaur
  • Strong alumni base
  • Better infrastructure and faculty

The table below draws a slight comparison between the placement scenarios of the 2 B Schools

I scored 90% in 10th and 70% in 12th. I am a B.Com graduate. Should I go for FMS-Delhi/BHU and prepare for the CAT?

DS
Deeksha Seth Posted On : July 13th, 2021
Studied at XLRI Jamshedpur (2019)

From what I have heard from a professor of mine, FMS Delhi is one of the top B-schools in the country.

  • The institute provides a very good ROI which puts the institute high in the ROI rankings.
  • FMS Delhi is worth your time and money and given the scores, you have obtained you might also end up getting called from reputed institutes like MDI, IIFT, SIBM, XLRI, etc.
  • The score in your CAT exams should compensate for your academics.
  • FMS has a very high weightage to your CAT score.

Try to obtain the maximum percentile in CAT and a good score in the verbal section. If you perform well in the interview, it will put you in the driver’s seat for a final convert.
