Christ University is a good option for pursuing Law degrees. It has a dedicated law faculty. The student crowd is great. You will get to meet many talented students.
Every Friday, there are extra-curricular activities like group discussion, debate, and extempore. Intra moot courts are organized frequently. Christ also organizes National Moot Court every year. Almost all the top Law schools participate in it.
Various law firms, corporate houses, NGOs, LPOs recruit from the university. Justice & Care Bangalore, Adlaw Partners, GMR Infrastructure Ltd. are some of the major recruiters from Christ University Law placements over the last few years.
Various organizations have ranked all of the colleges' MBA programmes highly.
NDIM Delhi and BIMTECH Noida are notable MBA colleges in the national capital region, whereas XIME Bangalore and Christ Bangalore are well-established in Bangalore. Location, school atmosphere, curriculum, and career path will determine your ideal college. Work experience, graduation percentage, group discussion, personal interview, and other aspects also matter. Calling colleges after thorough study and personal interaction is best. One responder recommends XIME Bangalore, while another suggests BIMTECH Noida for its accreditation and placement record. Before choosing, weigh all your possibilities.
First of all, I don’t deem it right for you to compare an MBA with Development studies as both are vastly different. Even comparing a General MBA with that in Rural Management is unjustified. The choice of the program depends on what your inclinations and interests are and what you want to do with your degree.
The points below will help you know the right choice for some general preferences.
It is essential to know what exactly a course offers and what you are after only then you can make an informed decision
For MCA, Christ University is a much better option than NMIMS mainly because of its location in Bangalore, the IT hub of the country. Also, the general ambiance of Christ University is perfect for MCA. There are strict rules within the campus and many consider it a flaw but in reality, this has led to confidence and skill development amongst the students.
Christ University is the kind of institution that does not just deliver the curriculum but also helps you stand up and understand yourself and deal with everything in life. Even in terms of rankings, Christ University fares better than NMIMS. Its organization is better than NMIMS and makes any individual career-oriented. If you have a certain goal in life and you are diligent about achieving it, Christ University will give you the reins to do so.
Christ University does have certain demerits like the dress code and mess facility, yet if someone is totally focused on their career, these things hardly matter.
It’s your attitude towards learning that matters more than the college itself. Yet if I have to comment on the two colleges, I would say Christ University is a fairly good choice. The main reasons are
However, if you are joining the college with the mindset of being taught then you need to rectify it. Here it’s you who has to force yourself to learn no one is going to push you. Anyone who wants to learn about business, in reality, will not be able to gain much from this B School. The B School churns out managers only. Rarely does it give birth to a business owner or entrepreneur despite the university’s module for entrepreneurship in a semester.
In my opinion, the best course among these is IPM. Some might even think I am a little biased towards this course but in reality once you learn the advantages of this program you will change your mind.
The Programme consists of 15 terms spread over a period of 5 years, with each year having 3 terms of 3 months. The subjects of the initial 3 years focus on the foundation and the last 2 years have core subjects that focus on Management.
Cons :
Still if you are not convinced that IPM is the best alone the courses you mentioned, the order for the other courses is
SSCBS> NMIMS> Christ
The only advantage the other courses have over IPM is that their model is tried and tested and open to lesser risks. Hence the scope is not that much limited.
My cousin faced a similar dilemma. Initially, she was stuck and could not decide which college to go to. Ultimately she made a decision after analyzing the pros and cons of both institutions. She told me that one has to be extremely sure about what one wants to pursue in order to make this decision.
You should go for any of both the IIMs if
You may go for Christ University if
One major advantage of going for IPM from any IIM is that they all offer an exit option after 3 years, so if you give CAT and you are unable to get enough score to get shortlisted by any IIM, then you are on the safer side. This is because you will have an MBA degree and that too from one of the most reputed B schools in the nation. Whereas this may not be possible if you go for BBA.
People might be concerned that both these IIMs are comparatively new. But depending on the predictions these are bound to flourish in the years to come.
The final decision is based on your own convenience and interests.
Choosing between IIM and Christ University is not a difficult decision. Without second thoughts, forgo the offer from Christ University and go for IIM Indore. This is because

IPM or Integrated Program in Management is a 5 year program launched by IIM Indore in 2011. It has been accredited by the Association of MBAs,
London
This program enjoys a placement rate of 100%. The highest salary package offered was around INR 40 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was INR 8 LPA. This program offers roles like finance analyst and marketing manager. The program is for:
Duration:
This 5-year integrated course in management is a 15-term program. Each year has 3 terms and each term is for 3 months
It all depends on what you want to do. Here are a few things to think about:
Flexibility -You have a lot of time at DU. You can study Actuarial Science, CFA, CFP, Data Analyst, CIMA, ACCA, CS, CWA, and many other things. As a result, more career opportunities are available at DU. Christ is very strict about attendance, and you don't have time, so you must concentrate solely on the course.
Fees - College fees are approximately Rs 12000 per year, as opposed to Rs 1,000,000 in Christ.
Exposure - There are numerous societies at DU that can provide excellent exposure. Society is better in Christ, but imagine 4000 students competing for that opportunity. Furthermore, DU departmental and college fest are better experiences for students than Christ because students manage everything from arranging funds to organizing every event without much help from authorities. Furthermore, you can compete in competitions organized by various DU colleges ranging from debate, music, and dance to mock stock, treasure hunt, and beg, borrow, and steal. However, because you are required to give regular presentations in class and because of the diversity of students, Christ aids in the development of an average person's personality.
Placement- At 95%, you can get DCAC or Shaheed Bhagat College, which do not have a placement boost of more than 20-30%. However, in Christ, you will receive more than 70% placement ( depends upon course though ). The average salary given is not significantly different. (Approximately 3 to 4). However, some companies that offer better packages do come in Christ ( i.e above 5 lac ) Some sales and marketing firms unrelated to your course may be present in DU.
Curriculum - The curriculum at DU is outdated and lacks a practical aspect, whereas at Christ, they will provide you with numerous case studies and a rigorous syllabus. During your three-year tenure at Christ, you will be required to complete an internship and work in an NGO.
Emotional Benefit - Because Christ has a good ranking, a large crowd, a great environment, and a good infrastructure, you will feel more confident. It might not be the case in DU.
Faculty- Professors at DU are far more qualified than those at other colleges, and some are published authors as well. However, because they are a government institution, some do not teach at all and waste time. There are a few who teach exceptionally well. In Christ, even if they are not college or research paper qualified, almost all of them teach and even encourage students to come to them.
Alumni & Peer Group - Alumni of Christ are not strong enough to make a significant impact. North campus colleges in DU have excellent alumni. In terms of the south campus, it is the same as Christ for colleges such as SBSC, DCAC, Gargi, and so on. Peer group is also similar in terms of hard work and intelligence (though it may be higher in DU). However, the overall alumni of Delhi University are far more accomplished than Christ ever will be.
