NIT Goa can be more preferable to NIT Puducherry. One of the major reasons is because NIT Goa comes with better exposure since it has a leading locational advantage. Several top-tier companies are in close proximity to the institute.

It is suggested that you choose the institute that is in close proximity to your location, since both the institutes are rather tier-3 Indian Engineering Colleges. 

• The major similarity both Goa Engineering College and NIT Goa share is that fresh graduates often go on to become clerks at several service based companies. 
• They often get an average salary package ranging anywhere between 3 LPA to 4 LPA.

In any case, nobody can apparently have access to the actual placement report of either institute because most of them generally spike their records for unjust purposes. Yet, here is a detailed placement statistics, as is claimed by the institutes in general.

Indian students generally should enroll at colleges near to their residence. Last but not least we can say that NIT Jalandhar along with its appealing infrastructure provides very attractive opportunities to all the students for their holistic development. So when compared to NIT Goa or UPTU College, always choose NIT Jalandhar.

NIT Goa is still operating from its temporary campus located at Farmagudi, Goa which is approximately 29 km from the state capital at Panaji. It is functioning temporarily from the campus of Goa Engineering College (GEC). 

Due to its limited facilities, it currently offers accommodation to only outstation students. However, only 2 options are available - a shared accommodation on campus or in a rented building close to the campus.

For students who are natives of Goa, the institute does not provide any accommodation facilities. You can either travel to and fro the campus or take up privately rented apartment rooms and PGs in the college vicinity. 

I have a friend who recently graduated from NIT Goa. According to him, for the home state, you should score around 160. Although it may vary since the mark required is increasing every year.

You should focus on your JEE Main preparation. Don’t worry about the required cutoff. Try to score 99 percentile, that way you can choose any branch that you like. If you are a student from Goa origin then 98 percentile is enough to get top branches.

If the arrangement for the fee which is charged by MIT would not be a problem for you then It is suggested that you opt for admission in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering at MIT Manipal. Having some friends studying there I can say that there are many things that make MIT Manipal stand out.

Some of the good things about MIT Manipal which makes it a better option include the following:

• The rank of MIT in the NIRF rankings is much higher than that of NIT Goa.
• MIT Manipal offers better campus facilities and opportunities as NIT Goa is a relatively newer college.
• Some of the well-known firms from the domain of electronics and other core branches recruit students of MIT Manipal.
• Even if they are not in large numbers, they are more than other institutions where just one or two key companies from the electronics field visit to recruit candidates.
• I am not familiar with the faculty of EEE at NIT Goa, but at MIT the EI department faculty is excellent.

Summer internships are available at companies like Western Digital and Reliance for students in their fifth or sixth semester. If you get an internship through campus recruitment, you may be able to convert it to PPO if you do well during the tenure of your internship.

No, it is not possible to get admission to the mechanical engineering branch of NIT Puducherry with a rank of 40k, through another state quota. According to the 2020 cutoff trend, the closing cutoff of Mechanical Engineering for general category students was 31725. 

So, your chance of getting admission with a rank of 40k through another state quota is pretty slim. 

As some of my friends studied at NIT Goa, I learnt from them that, No preparation is required to take a hostel at NIT Goa. 

• NIT Goa provides all the necessary facilities in their hostel rooms. 
• Once the student reaches the hostel campus, the staff will complete the registration process and room allotment process. 
• For the registration process, the documents such as the proof of admission in the college, fee receipt, identification proof, and other required documents should be taken to have a hassle-free registration process. 
• The room would be allotted with two more extra students. 
• Each student is provided with a table, a chair, and a cupboard for their own particular needs. 
• The college's hostel campus also has free Wi-Fi facilities available.
