You will have to look for PGs that you will like. You will find a lot of PGs in Hussainpur that is near Anandapur Police Station and at RR (Refugees Rehabilitation) Plot Housing Complex. With the brokers that are available, you will be provided the facilities for affordable prices. Get in touch with your peers and seniors. They are very friendly and helpful.

Kalikapur is also a very good place to look for PGs. You will find city buses available in your area quite easily.

HIT is the lucrative college choice for students as it is the Most Preferred Engineering Institute of 2020. It is a B++ grade institute by NAAC.

  • HIT offers specializations in CSE, AEIE, BT, CE, ChE, IT, ME, ECE, and EE.
  • The best branch among all these branches is considered CSE.
  • There is 100% placement, and the faculty is top-notch.
  • ECE and IT offer a 90% placement percentage.
  • The top recruiters of the institute are Wipro Technologies, IBM, Cognizant Technologies Solutions, Philips Carbon Black, HDFC Bank Ltd, Avery India, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, and others.

In all other streams, the faculties of the institute are excellent, but the placements are poor. In the core branches, a maximum of 50-60% of students get placed from campus.

What is the dress code at heritage institute of technology?

SS
Shakhar Sumon Posted On : September 22nd, 2021
Studied at Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata

There is no specific dress code at Heritage Institute of Technology. In fact, this college is known for its lenient dress codes and gives freedom to its students to wear whatever they like. But first-year students generally wear formal shirts, shoes, and trousers while the girls wear simple salwar suits to distinguish themselves from the senior students. The seniors will ask you for the same but will not force you. You may not like it first, but this will become a fond memory and will help you to make some friends with your cohorts.

After the first year or a few months after joining the college, you may wear anything you like: jeans, t-shirts, tops, etc. but do not go for the overkill.

Which is better CSE in Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology or IT in Heritage institute of technology?

PR
Priyanka Roy Posted On : September 22nd, 2021
B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology in 2020

Look for other options as IT at Heritage is not the best option. However, it has a stellar record of placement if we talk about the other branches.

MSIT, on the other hand, offers good exposure for CSE. It just falls short of Heritage’s fame and does not enjoy the same reputation. During a recent placement drive, the CSE branch observed the highest number of placement offers.

Check the following table for a brief insight on both institutions

Criteria Heritage Institute of Technology Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology
Total Fees 3.93 lakhs 4.84 Lakhs
Highest Package 16 LPA 11.40 LPA
Average Package 4 LPA 5.6 LPA

If you are unable to join MSIT, go for IT at Heritage and then shift your stream to CSE at the end of the first year if your SGPA is above 8.5. HIT boasts of having a brand value nowadays so obviously it attracts the most candidates.

What should I choose among Calcutta University and Heritage Institute of Technology, for engineering?

TM
Taneesha Mitra Posted On : October 13th, 2021
Studied B.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering, Institute of Engineering and Management (2022)

One of my friends was a student of the IEM thus, he had his reasons to make a choice among all the given options which might help you choose a college for yourself.

Instead of enrolling for any college under WBJEE, you can try to go for IITs. If you have no luck there, then you should opt for government colleges such as CU, JU, and KGEC.

Talking about IEM, you should know IEM provides a good opportunity for the students with all the favorable benefits.

Apart from this, Heritage Institute of Technology is not a good choice as the crowd of students doesn’t have any standards. Most of them are enrolled by the management quota. You may also go to other colleges like Techno Main Saltlake otherwise, you can also choose GCETT Serampore, near Kolkata, as it is also a good college.

Heritage Institute of Technology,Kolkata

First Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata doesn’t conduct the BCA Course. It is hosted by The Heritage Academy, which is located on the same campus as the Heritage Trust. Yes, the level of instruction, as well as the environment and other features of this college, is really excellent. After high school, you need to have at least 75 percent grades in computer and English subjects, in order to apply for the course. If you are eligible visit the campus and fill out the form; if seats become available, you will be notified.

Which is better for BCA: IEM or Heritage Institute of Technology?

DG
Devansh Gupta Posted On : September 23rd, 2021
Studied at Institute of Engineering and Management

Institute of Engineering and Management (IEM) is better than the Heritage Institute of Technology. There are various reasons for saying the same.

  • Faculty: They are really very supportive, cooperative, and understanding. They will explain the concepts really well.
  • Placements: It is an old institute and has a very good name going for it. Thus placements are obviously better than Heritage Institute of Technology.
  • Discipline: This factor may not be to everyone’s liking such as wearing uniforms, going to morning assembly, and attending classes regularly. But this definitely makes you disciplined in your life. This makes this college unique and distinct.
  • Location – It is located in Salt Lake Electronics City in Kolkata which is home to companies such as PwC, Cognizant, L&T Infotech, IBM, etc. which makes it easier for getting internships.

There are various activities taking place on the campus and you can be a part of some or another activity. If you join this college, you will enjoy your stay here and walk out with pride and satisfaction.
