I’m a student at LPU, and I want to share my experience with the faculty members of this university. 

• All the faculties at LPU are Masters degree and PhD holders. They have strong prior experience in research, teaching and curriculum development.
• The faculty members have field experience in business organizations, government agencies, research institutes, and consulting firms. Their experience is a pillar for students who want to pursue careers in any of these domains.
• University professors aim to impart knowledge using traditional teaching techniques and modern technical methods. They cite case studies and industrial projects to understand the students better.
• Faculty members adopt a science-oriented approach that includes classroom discussions. They are well-experienced in research, publishing papers, and organizing conferences.
• They also hold additional certifications, like licenses, and industrial associations in different fields. This helps them to utilize their practical and industry-oriented experiences to train students for their future goals.

MBA students at Lovely Professional University (LPU) in Jalandhar, India, earn an average salary of INR 8.5 LPA. In 2022, the highest recorded internship remuneration package at LPU was INR 64 LPA. The top employers for LPU MBA students in 2022 include Amazon, Cognizant, Capgemini, Deloitte, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Infosys, KPMG, Reliance Jio, TCS, and Wipro. 

In 2023, the maximum salary package for students was INR 29.70 LPA, with an average of INR 8.50 LPA. The LPU B-School is accredited by ACBSP and recognised as one of the best by MHRD, with high rankings from external agencies for student placements. LPU students have opportunities for placements in government services such as the Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Transport Corporation of India through on-campus/off-campus placement drives and SSB interviews.

The highest package offered to B.Tech CSE students at LPU stands at INR 3 Crore per Annum (approx. USD 364,000), secured by a student in 2022 at a global MNC in Germany. LPU receives participation from top recruiters. Google offered the highest domestic package of INR 64 Lacs per Annum (approx. USD 77,700) in 2023. As of 2024, the highest package is 1 Crore per Annum. The placement drive is ongoing for the batch of 2023-24.

The university starts the campus placements in the pre-final/final semester, and top recruiters include Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Flipkart, Cognizant, and Infosys. The highest package offered to the student is INR 26 lacs per annum. The university also provides scholarships and study loan assistance. LPU prepares its students for placements through special efforts such as placement classes. LPU has high-tech labs and studios for student benefit, enhancing their learning experience.

LPU consistently achieves over 90% placements across all programs. More than 650 companies visit the campus for placements, with a student securing a package of Rs. 42 lakh from Microsoft. Well-known recruiters of LPU include Cognizant, Amazon, TCS, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, Bosch, and Informatica.

The Center for Professional Enhancement (CPE) focuses on enhancing students' skills and competencies to meet industry demands. Blue-chip companies have established centers of excellence on campus to identify and encourage new talent. Placement classes are provided to students from the first year, enabling them to prepare for placements early on.

LPU received the Employability Award from Aspiring Minds in 2020 for its placement efforts. In 2019, Knowledge Review ranked it as the 10th best university for Training and Placement. LPU also received the Golden Star Award in 2018 for its outstanding placement record in India.

The faculty in LPU's MBA department is professional and experienced in research and teaching. They provide practical knowledge to the students alongside smart classes. Students from different regions study at LPU, so the faculty use English to communicate with students from these regions. 

During MBA courses, the professors encourage students to read physical newspapers to enhance their vocabulary. Professors organize the batch of MBA into different groups to discuss things in a group, which will further enhance their English speaking skills. During the placement drive, faculties train students and impart knowledge on how to crack an interview. They train students with the outside management world and help them equip in such a scenario.

LPU agriculture students are placed in top companies like Dhanuka, HDFC Bank, Reliance Retail, Syngenta, and more, with the highest package at 19.25 LPA and an average package of 3.4 LPA. Placement classes are provided to students from the first year, preparing them for recruitment from the pre-final year.

LPU holds the Guinness World Records title for the "Largest online video album of people saying the same sentence," thanking LPU for its placement network. LPU received the Employability award in 2020 and ranked 10th for Training and Placement in 2019. In 2018, LPU received the Golden Star Award for the best placements.

The university offers practical training in crop production, rural and agricultural techniques, horticulture, and more. Organic farming is practiced for additional income. The University also provides placement preparation classes, contributing to the high placement rate of 90% in reputed companies. A student secured a position worth one crore in a US firm, which shows the university's global recognition and opportunities.

LPU offers a four-year Agriculture degree program approved by ICAR from MHRD. Eligibility criteria for B.Sc Agriculture at LPU:

1. Admission to the B.Sc. The agriculture course is based on clearing the LPUNEST exam, with no interview criteria. 
2. Applicants must pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or Intermediate with specific subject combinations.
3. As of December 31, 2023, the minimum age for admission to B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture is 16.
4. The LPUNEST exam can be taken online remotely conducted from home or at a test center.
5. The annual fee for the program is INR 2,40,000 without scholarships, with a fee of INR 1,20,000 per semester.

The B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture program aims to build skills in various agricultural practices, production enhancement, disease resistance, and food preservation, preparing professionals for the entire agricultural cycle. Career prospects include positions such as Agriculture Inspectors, Agriculture Officers, Food Quality Inspectors, Technical Assistants, and administrative roles in government and non-government organizations.

The university provides scholarship opportunities for financial assistance to students who want to pursue a career in a particular field. The university conducts the LPUNEST examination to award scholarships to students. There are various scholarships for students. Also there are scholarships in which the students' tuition fees are also lessened. Based on the following criteria, the scholarship is awarded:

• The scholarship amount varies depending on the marks obtained in the LPUNEST exam.
• Based on marks obtained in the National Level Test(NLT): Students are awarded scholarships based on marks secured in National-Level tests like CAT, MAT, XAT, etc.
• Based on merit
• Scholarship based on academic performance: Students who have excelled will be awarded scholarships based on their performance.
• Cultural scholarship: Students who are good at art and have extraordinary talent.

MBA is the most sought-after course at LPU. It has a 100% placement track record and is ranked 78th among all government and private universities in India. The highest package offered to MBA students is INR 21 LAC, with an average salary of INR 5.5 LAC and the highest monthly internship stipend of INR 65,000. LPU has also partnered with the National Stock Exchange, ensuring greater student opportunities.

The university emphasizes the students' learning, providing them access to a 9-storey mall for starting their business. LPU students also interact with local and international businesses, which will help them get ideas about their new businesses. Placement classes commence in the first year to prepare students for recruitment opportunities starting from the pre-final year. LPU has been recognised with multiple awards for its exemplary placement record, including the Employability Award by Aspiring Minds and the Golden Star Award for best placements in India.

Being a graduate from LPU, I found the campus life quite joyful as everyone in the university is supportive. I liked the following things about the University:

• Students get success in placements based on their learning and skills provided by the University. The University trains the students to grab high-quality job offers.
• LPU receives numerous companies for placements, although only a fraction of students secure high-paying offers, partly due to the large student population.
• LPU's campus can accommodate its many students, with classes divided into manageable sizes for effective teaching.
• The university's popularity is high due to its large student population from different regions of India.
• LPU offers international exposure to students from foreign countries, enhancing language skills through interaction.
• LPU maintains a strict anti-ragging policy and provides a secure environment with extensive CCTV surveillance.
• Non-vegetarian food is strictly prohibited on campus, reflecting the university's policies.
• LPU provides a platform for personal growth and learning, although it may not suit those solely focused on academics.
• Online resources supplement classroom learning, addressing potential gaps in teaching quality.
• The university offers generous scholarships, making education more affordable for students.
