Future Scope of CSE
Students graduating with a CSE degree can work as System Database Administrator, Computer Programmer, Engineering Support Specialist, Data Warehouse Analyst, System Designer, Software Developer, Software Engineer, Lecturer or Professor, Computer Operator and Research Analyst.
VIT Chennai is definitely a better college to study CSE in. It has a record of 100% placement. It holds the Limca Book of Records in Campus Recruitment. More than 100 top notch companies participated in the placement process.
A few of my friends graduated from VIT Chennai and KIIT and here are some insight from their experience which may be of help.
KIIT will be a better choice just because it's the main campus, the placements are almost at par and you get more freedom to enjoy college life.
But VIT does have an edge over many things, and even if you go to VIT Chennai, the placement opportunities will be the same.
Here are the recent placement statistics for the institutes.

ECE and CSE are two different departments, providing separate career opportunities. VIT Chennai and Amrita University Bangalore offer decent placement to students in these departments.
The points below give a brief overview of both the choices:
Therefore, both ECE at VIT Chennai and CSE at Amrita Bangalore are good options. It is the choice of the student as to what excites him/her the most and opts for a degree in the same.
Both of these colleges are good. VIT is the best private engineering college in India. Whereas CUSAT is also a reputed institute. CUSAT is a government college, and VIT is a private college. Thereby, you will get a better facility in VIT rather than in CUSAT.
Hostel Facilities: (Winning Institution - VIT)
However, the hostel facilities are also not up to the mark in CUSAT. But VIT offers good hostel accommodation. But VIT charges a lot for hostels.

If you want to get better infrastructural facilities and good food and lodging, then you should go for VIT. But CUSAT is more affordable and it is also a good choice with excellent placement statistics.
Although both colleges belong to more or less the same tier, IBS has a bigger brand value in terms of MBA, and VIT is known for its engineering degrees. Both the colleges have their known strengths and weaknesses. IBS Hyderabad has a market perception that it has a very rigorous curriculum.
During the placement season, it gets very competitive and tedious, especially in the fields of finance and marketing. IBS comes under ICFAI which has collaborations with international universities and offers global exposure to facilitate its students who are interested in student exchange programs.
VIT Chennai is focused on research and innovation and has dedicated resources toward working in this direction. This shouldn’t come as a surprise since the institute is well-reputed for its engineering program. VIT also has tie-ups with foreign universities and associations for research, workshops, and projects. Make a decision based on factors that are important to you. If you’re too fixated on the batch size then you might want to avoid IBS Hyderabad.
I have tried to present some numbers for your reference and hope it would help you make an informed decision:

Among the two, VIT is a private institute and has a better reputation among its competitors. Here students get the proper facilities and industrial exposure.
Lastly, there are many clubs and societies in VIT, which you can join based on your interests. VIT boasts of a very diverse student crowd. Students from various parts of the world study here. Therefore VIT is better in all respects.
