Which is a better choice, SIOM Nashik or TAPMI?

MM
Manisha Mishra Posted On : June 27th, 2021
PGDM Finance & Analytics, T. A. Pai Management Institute (2019)

My brother was in a similar pickle a few years back. He is from a Mechanical Engineering background and wanted to opt for Operations. After talking to his mentor and seniors at different management institutes as well as analyzing the reviews online he decided to go for TAPMI. Here are some of the reasons why he chose TAPMI.

  • Reputed coaching institutes like TIME ranks TAPMI ahead of SIOM.
  • If we look for the factors that make for a good management institute, i.e. location, faculty, diversity, infrastructure then TAPMI is obviously the better alternative.
  • Good placement is not the only yardstick of a good management school. A good management school should give you a comprehensive and holistic educational experience which TAPMI does. Although SIOM evening classes will be better if you are a working professional.

Here’s a brief comparison of the institutes.

Parameters

SIOM Nashik

TAPMI

Tuition fee

INR 13.53 LPA

INR 7.55 LPA

Placement average

99%

100%

Average CTC

10.8 LPA

11 LPA

Hope this helps in giving some clarity.

The college has a strong placement record, with a high ratio of graduates finding employment in their desired fields. However, it's important to note that TAPMI is also a good college, and ultimately the decision of which college to attend should be based on your career goals and plans.

In the industry, which colleges are considered to be premium B-schools in India? Is TAPMI one of them?

SA
Sridhar Anand Posted On : July 22nd, 2021
MBA from T. A. Pai Management Institute (2018)

Firstly, you need to know that TAPMI is not a B school in the industry, and students usually opt for it as their last option. It is mainly due to the recruiting companies who come for placements.

However, TAPMI is the first MBA college in India to get an AACSB accreditation, and recently they've also acquired the AMBA accreditation- which works as a brand name for employers when recruiting candidates. The Institute is also working to get the triple crown and Equis accreditation as well. This will greatly enhance its reputation, placing it with the international elite club which will bring in foreign exchange programs and placements abroad.

TAPMI also has an expansive alumni base employed in top-notch organizations at top positions. The institute is constantly working towards its enhancement and growth in academics, extracurricular activities, placements, industrial training, infrastructure, etc.

Lastly, they have significantly reduced the intake of students. Now they are planning to reduce it even more to enhance the quality of education provided.
