What is the difference between dayanand sagar college of engineering shift 1 and shift 2?

AS

Studied B.Tech Computer Science ,Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering,Bangalore (2020)

There is no difference between Shift 1 and Shift 2 at Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering. Only the timings and the strength of the students are different

For shift 2, timings are from 11 AM to 6 PM and for shift 1, it's from 9 AM to 5 PM. This timing difference is only for the 1st year. After that, it will be the same for both the 1st and 2nd-year students. It's from 9 only.

Another difference is in terms of strength as in the 2nd shift, there are 75 students while for the 1st shift, the strength is for 60 students.

The concept of two shifts is simple as it is to get more students and to increase the intake as per the existing infrastructure. Apart from this, everything including the projects, classes, syllabus, faculty, and events remains the same and has no difference.

The placement at Dayanand Sagar Institutions (DSI) is decent. The students with at least 60% in academics are preferred by the recruiters. Sound knowledge in your core specialization is enough to get you placed.

The top campus recruiters are Novell, HCL, iGATE, ITC Infotech, Microsoft, Cognizant, Sobha, L&T Infotech, Infosys, Oracle, Deloitte, Accenture, Cerner, Mu Sigma, IBM, KPMG, and more. The placement statistics revealed that 2374 students placed in FY 2020-21.

Can I get into Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering with a rank of 6991 in IT branch (kcet)?

SS
Shikha Sharma Posted On : September 15th, 2021
B.Tech. Computer Science from Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering,Bangalore (2020)

According to one of my friend’s experiences there are chances of getting into Dayanand Sagar College in the second round. Though the chances are very low, therefore it depends upon your luck.

You should refer to the previous cut-offs but at the same time, you should be open to the options and accept them whole-heartedly as it depends purely on you how much you are inclined to working hard. If you really work hard then it does not matter that in which college you are in, nobody can stop you from reaching your destiny. According to the previous year’s cut-offs, 5855 was the closing rank in Round 1.

Keep trying your dream college but you should be always open to various other options so that you will not waste your entire year.

How different are DSCE and DSU in terms of placement, academics, campus and most important degree value and affiliation?

SB
Santanu Banerjee Posted On : March 10th, 2022

Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering is a part of Dayanand Sagar University campus. DSCE is an autonomous institution and is affiliated with VTU. Dayanand Sagar Institutions as a whole are well-known for their quality of education.

You don’t need to worry about placements, because placement drive happens under one roof, i.e. DSI. If you are skilled and maintain a good percentile throughout your degree, you can get decent placement opportunities. The average package offered during the recent placement drive at DSU is 6 LPA. During 2021 placements, the highest package offered for DSCE was INR 32 LPA.

Bachelor of Engineering from Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Bangalore (2020)

With a rank above 10000, it is difficult to get the CSE or ISE branch at Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering. According to the recent cutoff trends for DSCE, the required cutoff for CSE was 3905.

However, with your rank, you can make it to other branches like ECE, EEE, TE, etc. The college provides the option of internal transfer from one branch to another, so you can change your branch after following the procedure of the college to the branch of your choice if you want to.

Which college is good for aeronautical engineering in Bangalore among Acharya Institute and Dayanand Sagar College? How are the placements at these colleges?

Before deciding, you should pay a visit to both the institutes. After analyzing what they have to offer, choose as per your convenience.

Here are some factors you should have knowledge about AIT (Acharya Institute of Technology). One of my colleagues is a Communications and English language Professor here, and can possibly elaborate on this subject better.

  • Since he interacts with the students and professors of the Aeronautical department, he mentions that they have unlimited energy for student facilitation, guidance, and mentoring.
  • They take part in a large number of events, whenever organized.
  • If you visit the campus, you will be thrilled to see their enthusiasm regarding their ongoing projects.
  • Acharya Institute of Technology claims to have strong tie-ups with American, European, and other foreign universities, making it rather simpler to pursue higher studies overseas.
  • A large number of students also visit my colleague for in-house TOEFL coaching, before eventually applying for the student visa to the United States.

In fewer words, it is a life-changing course, if pursued with proper guidance and efficiency. Hope this answers your query.

What is Computer Science & Engineering "Shift Course" (CSSC) at Dayanand Sagar College Of Engineering?

RD
Rajveer Dutta Posted On : September 15th, 2021
B.E Electronics and Communication Engineering,Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering,Bangalore (2018)

Without any doubt, we all get into the dilemma when we listen to the word shift course especially for the courses like B.Tech. But the shift course has been introduced in some colleges to increase their intake capacity of students for the popular courses to give opportunities to many students.

  • Usually, the normal time of the class in the college is from 9 am but for the shift course the classes commence at 11 am onwards and end up by 5 pm.
  • There is not much difference in the timings.
  • Also, the students of the shift course are provided with equal opportunities, similar placements are given to them without making any difference between CSE and CSSC students.

Therefore, we can conclude that the shift course is just to expand the capacity of the students keeping in mind the university norms, rest all the things are similar to the normal CSE course. So there is nothing much to worry about.

B.E Business Strategy & Motivational Speaking, Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Bangalore (2019)

DSCE provides hostel facilities to boys and girls separately. The hostels are well-equipped with all the basic amenities. Apart from the hostels, the college is nearby various Paying Guests (PGs).

One of my friends was living in VS Boys PG. It is close to college and Daily Fresh. As per his insights, the PG has the best food. There are no restrictions in PG, and the people are also friendly. Overall, the PG is worth spending every penny. You might like it.

There are other PGs near the college, you can ask your seniors for more information.

Which one is better between Bangalore Institute of Technology, BMSIT, RNSIT and Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering for ECE and placement-wise and college life?

PP
Pratik Parikh Posted On : July 24th, 2023
Lives in Bangalore

Both Bangalore Institute of Technology and Dayanand Sagar College are great colleges and much better than BMSIT and RNSIT. However, they are comparable based on 2 aspects, placements, and college life.

  • Placements-wise, BIT is the best among the aforementioned institutes.
  • In terms of college life experience, DSC is better than BIT.

While some may say that college life is a subjective matter and varies from person to person, I think the campus itself plays a major role.

Why is the 2nd round KCET cutoff of PES University Electronic City Campus CSE lower than even Dayanand Sagar College of Engineering CSE?

NS
Nikita Singh Posted On : September 13th, 2021
Studied B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering,PES University (2020)

This must be because of location and the accessibility to the Electronic City as the area is heavily crowded due to traffic.

Moreover, the intake in CSE at PES University EC Campus is 480, while it is 180 in DSCE. It is bad luck for those who did not make an informed choice as they might face repercussions in 2023.

Furthermore, comparing PES with Dayanand, which lies in the heart of South Bangalore and it is a favorite place. With easy access and a peaceful environment, Dayanand Sagar is more preferred among students.
