Life at AIIMS Jodhpur is very lively and energetic and trust me you won’t miss your home even for a second. The campus will become your second home and your friends and your newly found family. The campus has amazing facilities that will make your stay all the more comfortable. 

• Centralized AC buildings and clean LTs are some major facilities here
• Every student gets his own private space in the form of a single room which is an amazing experience.
• The college strictly implements the No Ragging policy and ensures harmony between the seniors and juniors.
• The initial months witness strict hostel rules like timings, deadlines, and stuff but soon there are relaxations on these rules and you are free to come and go as you will.
• AIIMS Jodhpur might be a disappointment for those looking for a city life and college nightlife experience. Here, there isn’t much to explore outside the campus but for most of them, it’s not an issue as all they want is to stay in their rooms.
• The overall campus is serene with lush greenery, wide roads, and tall buildings.
• AIIMS Jodhpur offers top-notch clinical exposure with a number of diverse cases both rare and common. 
• The fest held annually gives an all-together vibe alternating the dynamics of the institute.
• Sports and cultural activities are encouraged and many clubs have been made to promote these activities,

AIIMS Jodhpur is nowhere near AIIMS Delhi or JIPMER, but its unique experience is personal to those who have been part of its family. 

AIIMS established in 2012 are mostly compared on secondary factors such as location, proximity to home, language, and reputation of the college among top rankers. Basically, it is personal preferences that make one AIIMS better than the other for someone. The cutoff and rankings should not only be taken into consideration while comparing and it is advisable to look at the bigger picture. During the early years of establishment, the top rankers preferred Jodhpur to Patna because of Bihar’s poor reputation. The subsequent batches followed the trend blindly and today too, AIIMS Jodhpur is preferable to AIIMS Patna. AIIMS Jodhpur is preferred by students from north or west India owing to the less distance from home. Additionally, the primary coaching belt lies in Kota and Delhi, making AIIMS Jodhpur a much preferable choice. Both the AIIMS pose no major language issues.

AIIMS Jodhpur enjoys a good location being an international tourist location, so you will get to experience a better college life than Patna, one of the dirtiest cities in India. The quality of life will be better for Jodhpur students.

So your first option should always be AIIMS Jodhpur followed by AIIMS Patna. 

AIIMS Jodhpur launched its PG course in various clinical branches in 2017 and has been providing excellent training and research opportunities ever since then. The patient load is also very satisfying and enough clinical exposure is offered.

However, AIIMS Jodhpur MD Medicine is specifically not well established so you need to check before coming here.

• Their GM department has only two assistant professors right now. The department is filled with senior residents mostly.
• The patient load in this department is very low in comparison to other well-established colleges like MAMC, VMMC, etc.
• AIIMS Jodhpur lacks the necessary assistance provided by the seniors 

Ultimately it’s best to go for MAMC or VMMC compared to AIIMS Jodhpur if you are specifically targeting MD Medicine.

My sister got selected for all the 3 aforementioned institutes and was confused for a long time before making her final decision. She weighed the pros and cons of all the 3 institutes; IMS BHU, AIIMS Bhopal, and AIIMS Jodhpur, and realized that IMS BHU has the benefit of internal PG reservation but was very lacking in terms of hostel facilities. That was a factor she wasn't willing to overlook so she looked upon AIIMS Bhopal and got to know about its fast-paced development and excellent hostel facilities.

AIIMS Bhopal seemed to be the most promising option for her and she was excited to experience the freedom there and ended up choosing it. As for you, you can consider your proximity to home as a crucial determining factor. If you hail from UP, IMS BHU can be a suitable choice for you else AIIMS Bhopal and Jodhpur are excellent options.

My answer is specifically for the UG students. In my opinion, JIPMER Pondicherry is a better option than AIMS Jodhpur. It's one of the oldest Indian medical colleges. Let's go through a few pros and cons of the institute to explain further why this will prove to be a better option for you.

Pros

• The first year strengthens your basics before providing a real-life clinical experience. This helps the students to understand things excellently.
• Nd year students are introduced to clinics in one of the Apex hospitals of South India. The OPD flow is around 8-9000 here. You are given respect here even as a second-year student.
• The third year witnesses the biggest academic, cultural, and sports fests of South India. This fest helps you meet medical students from all over the country and also improves your social skills.to take case histories daily. You will receive continuous guidance from the faculty and senior residents.
• Internships at JIPMER give you hand on experience which most medical colleges fail to offer. A few tasks you will be assigned are taking blood samples, putting central lines, correcting hydroceles, catheterizing, and doing real-life CPR 
• Pondicherry is a good place to take a break from studies and explore. It has amazing eateries 
• The hostel life at JIPMER is that of freedom and privacy.
• JIPMER also has the benefit of a PG quota

Cons

• You will face a huge language barrier in Pondicherry to overcome which you will have to learn Tamil.
• The food served in the mess is average.
• The local airport provides a single flight only so you have to travel to Chandigarh while going home.

Any smart person can point out that the pros clearly overshadow the cons and thus we can say that while AIIMS Jodhpur is fast growing, it will take some time to match the level of top medical colleges like JIPMER, PGI, and AIIMS Delhi.
