PES and MAHE are in Bangalore providing stiff competition to each other in terms of placement, academics, research. • MAHE has a total seat count of 2040 whereas DJ Sanghvi has a total seat count of 630 for engineering.
• The total tuition fee for MAHE can range anywhere from 16.26 lakhs to 17 lakhs depending on the choice of branch. The total tuition and exam fees for Sanghvi is around 7-8 lakhs.

Manipal University:

• Has an average placement percentage of 90% and more than a hundred companies come for recruitment.
• For getting placements students to need to have a minimum CGPA of 7.
• The highest salary package is 50 LPA, and the lowest salary package is 3.5 LPA.
• Companies like Amazon, Deloitte, Cisco, and Wipro are the main recruiters.

DJ Sanghvi:

• The college recorded a total of 100% placement record.
• Students were offered an average salary package is 10 LPA
• Some of the companies that visit are Deloitte, Ernst and Young, Interactive Brokers, Morgan Stanley, Quantiphi, and GEP.

Both the colleges are equally matched in terms of academics and placements. However, MAHE offers four more courses than what is offered in DJ Sanghvi. The infrastructure of MAHE is slightly superior to DJ Sanghvi and provides all kinds of sports facilities. Nevertheless, taking into consideration the tuition fee and comfort, the final decision depends on the student.

Manipal University-

• Students who wish to pursue a BTech degree must appear for the Manipal Entrance Test (MET) and score within the closing rank of 6138 to get a seat on the main campus.

• Students must have a minimum aggregate of 50% in their 10 +2 with Physics, Memetics, and English as a compulsory subject and Biology/Chemistry/ Biotechnology as an optional subject.

• Manipal has a total of 200 seats with a tuition fee of INR 16.3 lakhs for four years.

MAIT-

• For MAIT, applicants must sit for the JEE main examination and obtain a rank within 7000 to acquire a seat.

• A minimum of 55% aggregate in 10+2 and English as a compulsory subject is required. Students who wish to take admission through lateral entry must sit for the IPU CET test.

• MAIT has a seat matrix of 180 with a tuition fee of INR 4.62 lakhs for four years for Mechanical Engineering.

Infrastructure:

Manipal University- It is known for its excellent infrastructure with high-end labs which are updated every three years to add in the latest equipment. The classrooms are well maintained and are fully air-conditioned and equipped with projectors, speakers, and microphones. The entire campus is Wi-Fi-enabled, and hostels are provided on the basis of merit.

Both the colleges provided top-tier faculty who are supportive and have the highest degree of education. The mechanical department of Manipal has faculty from IIT and NIT, and all faculties of MAIT either have a Ph.D. or are pursuing one.

Admission Details:

• Students are expected to score 50% or above in their 10+2 examination in order to be eligible for admission.

• Admission is made based on the MET examination, which is the university examination.

• Students must apply online for appearing in the MET exam.

• Students are allotted seats after they appear for the MET counseling.

PDPU:

The ICT department of PDPU is extremely new and had its first placement in 2020.

• The highest package offered was 20 LPA, the lowest offered was 5LPA.

• Mostly the positions offered were of assistant engineers.

• Students are responsible for securing internships.

Manipal University:

• The IT department has a placement percentage of 80.

• The highest salary package offered is 21 LPA, the lowest is 4 LPA, and the average is around 6 LPA.

• Around 40% of students secured internships.

• Companies like Philips, Citrix, SanDisk, Future First, Deloitte, Amazon, Oracle, and Cisco come for recruitment.

Faculty and Infrastructure:

PDPU:

• 120 students are divided into two classes for smooth operation. As a result, faculties can devote proper time to each student and help them out. The faculty of ICT is average since the branch is still relatively new.

• The campus size of PDPU is around 100 acres, and all the basic requirements of students are taken care of.

Manipal University:

• Faculties are top-tier, and the teaching quality is excellent. The curriculum is relevant and updated.

• Manipal too has all the necessary facilities like Wi-Fi all over campus, air-conditioned classrooms, and an updated library with over 10,000 books, and canteen and medical facilities.

• Manipal University is one of the largest colleges in India. The campus stretches over 313 acres almost a quarter of which is devoted to sports.

Both colleges are really good, and even though the ICT branch at PDPU is very new compared to the IT branch at Manipal, the first placement was entirely up to the mark.
