IIIT Allahabad is not much known for its MBA program among students and recruiters. As IIIT Allahabad is an engineering institute, it is well known for its engineering programs.
If faculty and quality of education are kept aside, then pursuing an MBA degree from IIIT is not a good option. It might not help you in making a bright career option.
In the below table you will get basic information about the IIIT Allahabad MBA program.

Pursuing MBA from IIIT Allahabad is not the right option. As it might not help you in getting a good job. It is advised that you opt for an MBA program from well-known management institutes rather than any IIITs.
The Great Lakes PGPM program claims to help you in switching jobs or functions by enhancing your knowledge base and managerial skills. But the truth is far from this. I know a friend who is an IT engineer with 8 years of work experience who completed the PGPM flex program to switch from the tech stream to the management stream but failed to do so. The result might be different for you though. So the subjectivity can best be clarified through the following pros and cons
Pros:-
Cons:-
Overall, the degree adds little value to your profile though the effect may vary from person to person.
One of my friends got accepted at NM (Mumbai), Manipal, and several such prestigious universities among others. Finally, he chose IMT Ghaziabad as it is a really good college.
Categories | MBA at IMT Ghaziabad |
Course Fee | 19.53 lakh |
Placement Percentage (overall) | 80-90% |
Highest CTC | 28 LPA |
Average CTC | 12 LPA |
Recruiting Companies | Cognizant, Berger, ICICI Bank, American Express, etc. |
The coordinators make the campus life a handful. Would hope for you to find a better coordinator for yourself that would make your college life easy going. Overall, the college has the greatest facilities to offer to its students.
FORE School of Management is definitely the better choice than IBS Hyderabad. It is better in almost all aspects when compared to IBS Hyderabad. The table below has drawn a slight comparison on the basis of some basic factors
Parameters |
FORE Management |
IBS Hyderabad |
Batch size |
394 |
1100 |
Fees |
?16.98 L |
?5.25 L - 16.02 L |
Average CTC |
INR 14.5 LPA |
INR 8.71 LPA |
Ranking |
60 (NIRF Management) |
19 (NIRF Ranking) |
From the above table we can infer the following points
An additional feature of FORE that sets it further apart from IBS Hyderabad is its International Immersion Program. This program offers the kind of exposure you cannot even get at a reputed B School like IBS. You get exposed to the Global corporate world and the best part is that its fees are included in the course fees. So considering all the points mentioned above I conclude that FORE is a far better choice than IBS Hyderabad for MBA.
I know someone who graduated from PIBM in 2020. Here’s what she had to say.
Whatever the situation is, be sure that PIBM Pune will provide enough opportunities in terms of academics and placements.
My friend is both an LLB and a company secretary. She graduated from ISB Hyderabad a few years ago and was offered a plethora of opportunities in both legal and non-legal positions. She claims the placement scenario to be beneficial. She was interviewed by 4-5 recruiters and received offers from 2 of them. She had also applied to a boutique I-Bank in Singapore and was offered a decent position there. All these clearly state the versatile opportunities a lawyer can get after doing an MBA from ISB Hyderabad.
My friend finally opted for a management consulting firm on campus. Her work revolved around the legal and financial structuring of infrastructure projects. Soon after she left the job and became a CEO of a hospital. She finally settled with her own private Legal Practice and today she helps people and companies with their legal problems. The conclusion from her career journey is that a lawyer has many opportunities post-MBA. All he needs to do is make the best out of each.
Comparing the 2 B Schools that are KJ Somaiya and NIRMA, I would say both are equal in terms of placements, opportunities and exposure. The only factor you need to consider here is location. NIRMA is a good choice if your hometown is nearby. But if you want to enjoy your college life, explore and make memories, KJ Somaiya is the best. Located in Vidyavihar, a student-dominated area in Mumbai, it has an amazing campus with top-notch facilities.
Placements
The table below draws a clear comparison between both the B Schools.

So from the table, we can infer that placement-wise both colleges are almost the same. The difference lies in their location and the type of college life they offer.
One of my friends was pursuing the One Year Management Program in the US. So, I can give you the scenario of doing management from the US.
Pursuing a one-year program from the US is not a good option, no matter which university you are choosing.
Therefore, before getting into any B school first become clear what you want. If you want to work in the US, then go for a full-time MBA program from the top 20 colleges only.
Choose IIT Madras for an MBA if you want lower fees and a smaller batch size. However, if you want to be a part of a community that is rich in experience, with a rigorous curriculum and a reputable college, choose IIM Kashipur.
After a few years, people will notice the amount of effort you put in to establish yourself in a competitive corporate environment, better in an IIM than an IIT Madras. You will be sorry that you did not attend an IIM when you had the opportunity. IIMs have a stellar reputation in the MBA field, and there is a reason for this.
You must always choose IIM Kashipur over IIT Madras.
