Trying to make sure my answer is as objective as possible, I have mentioned the pros of both institutes namely SPJIMR and IIM Indore. The final decision can be made by choosing the one whose benefits appeal to you the most and matches your inclinations.
SPJIMR
- Small batch size of 250-300 students makes it possible to develop good bonding between peers. There is almost a family-like feeling. The small batch size also reduces the level of competition and increases proximity to faculty
- The average package was pretty decent this year and stood at INR 26.06 LPA
- A major USP of SPJIMR is its Rural internship called DOCC and GFT(global fast track program). These offer a unique experience of rural India as well as the foreign market in the same year.
- Another distinguishing factor of SPJIMR is the minors offered n other specializations like Analytics, Consulting, etc. This is like a secondary specialization for backup in the future.

The first-generation IIMs clearly have many advantages over the second and third-generation IIMs. Some major differences include
- Infrastructure: Thenodler IIMs have their own permanent campuses whereas most of the newer IIMs either function through a temporary campus or have a permanent campus that is not at par with the older IIMs.
- Faculty: The older IIMs have better experienced and learned faculty than the newer ones. Also, the visiting faculty is much better at these IIMs. The student and faculty strengths are therefore strong here.

What are the best books for IPM IIM Indore 2021?
Various publications promise to help aspirants for IPMAT examinations with their books. In reality, these books are not worth your time. I believe that the syllabus for the IPMAT is at a similar level as that of CAT. So, it would be better for you that you buy popular books which aspirants use for the preparation of the CAT examination.
There are two sections in IPMAT - Quantitative Aptitude and Verbal Ability. To prepare for these sections, you can buy Quantitative Aptitude and Verbal Ability by Arun Sharma. Solve the LOD 1 and LOD 2 exercise available in the book.
It must be noted that books solely cannot help to cover the entire syllabus. You can additionally sit for Mock tests, communicate with mentors for insights and analyze the previous year’s papers. This will help you to get an improved idea about the fundamental structure of the examination.
