A friend of mine graduated from FYBMS Wilson College, a few years back. According to him, the required cutoff stays around 92-93% forthe first merit list. The cutoff decreases for the subsequent lists. The last list’s cutoff stays around 82-85%. You should try to score above 85% to stay in the safe side.
Wilson College is good for First Year Junior College. You will have a great time discovering yourself and your hidden talents. You will also get good exposure. The teaching staff are supportive. You can seek out their help regarding any problem that you have. Although the infrastructure of the institute is a bit old, the quality of education offered at the institute is quite good.
Wilson College Mumbai doesn’t offer any such direct placement opportunities for their BMM students. However, you will get good exposure and enough opportunities to polish off your skills. You can look for internships during your bachelors. There internships will add to your resume and help your get job opportunities later.
Willson College offers hostel facilities to both boys and girls. The hostel fee for Wilson College is around INR 50000 per semester. For a BSc degree, you will need to pay around INR 3 lakhs in total for hostel accommodation.
The hostel offers decent amenities. There are two-seater rooms and 3-seater rooms in the hostel. The food provided is fine. The hostel rooms are clean and well-maintained.
For a BMM degree, both SIES Sion and Wilson College are good options. Both of these institutes have decent faculty members. You can choose either of these two institutes according to your convenience. However, you should note that the BMM fest of Wilson College, i.e. Polaris creates a lot of buzz among students.
