Both CSE and IT follows the same curriculum till 3rd year of college. You will only find a few different subjects in your final year. IT on a broad scale deals with the networking and security part. On the other hand, CSE is all about the development of software, applications, and programming.

However, it is suggested that you opt for IT at IET Lucknow instead of UIT (RGPV) CSE if you are concerned about the placement scenario. It is so because IET has better placement offers. Not only this but the overall structure and curriculum of IT are extremely good. Being an autonomous institution, IET Lucknow offers more benefits than the other institutions.

The average package offered to the CSE students at IET is around INR 4.5 Lakhs per annum as per the placement report of the institute in the year.

As per the university policies, the fee structure is the same for all categories and castes. There is a slight difference between the fees for girls and boys.

The fee structure of IET, DAVV is as follows.

For reserved category students, there are provisions available for the students by the Madhya Pradesh government. The provision takes into account the parent’s income per annum. This provision differs each passing year. It is usually around 25,000-30,000.

• Top companies like Accenture, Wipro, Capgemini, Synopsys and Hexaware participated in their placement programs.

Facilities 

UIT RGPV 

• They have hostels, libraries, laboratories, auditoriums and canteens.
• The other facilities include all time internet connectivity, central computer centre, guest house and transport.

IET DAVV

• With a campus area of 500 acres, the institute has 3 boys and 1 girls hostels with 288 rooms accommodating 600 students

IET DAVV is a much better institution than UIT RGPV, according to placement records, salary packages and facilities offered. Their placement performance is consistent every year. But ultimately it depends on the students and their preferences of location, affordability, accessibility and environment.

Aakshank is the annual cultural fest of IET DAVV which is organized in the last week of February every year. This fest has been conducted since 2000 and every year the level of the fest keeps on upgrading. IET has also conducted various rock concerts where they have called top celebrities like KK, Kailash Kher, Gajendra Verma, Euphoria, DJ Willy, and many more. 

Aakshank is a fest in which a plethora of events are conducted both day and night. A few day events include Paintball, Zorbing, Burma Bridge, Stunt Mania, Laser Tag, Foot Zorbing, Pinball, Street football, Street cricket, Blind date, Foosball, Angry birds, Lan gaming, Xbox, etc. There are several other outstanding events which are conducted in the college auditorium like Inter and Intra College Dance (Naach), Singing (Vaani), Skit Competition (Adaakari), and Kavi Sammelan. 

With the success of Aakshank every year, this fest is receiving many sponsors which will make the next season a big hit. 

• The celebrity performers are the major attraction of the fest. Though there is a ticket system. If you want to see the live celebrity performance, you have to buy a ticket for Rs. 100. Many other colleges charge even more than that. In fact, DJ night is also charged at various colleges. So, the budget point of Aakshank is quite pocket-friendly. 
• Aakshank has a larger crowd than any other fest conducted in IET whether it is Fluxus or any other minor fest. Even the enthusiasm in the crowd set the vibes to another level. 
• Apart from DJ Night and Star Night, there are many other adventurous events that are totally free of cost. 
• Every year, this fest brings something unique like in the year 2019, India’s best comedian, Zakhir Khan performed at Aakshank. 
• Not only the performers, but the participants are also very energetic during the events. 
• There is a special social media team who are made to share posts and pamphlets timely on social media to keep everyone updated. The creative team as well as a promotional team make sure to bring the best out of the fest by promoting the required content related to the fest timely.
