One of my friends recently graduated from NLSIU. Here is his insight on the placements at NLSIU.
The employment space for MPP professionals is opening up with time and if you have the required skills you will have decent opportunities along the line. But you will need to approach top companies through platforms such as LinkedIn.
After graduating from NLSIU with Master’s of Public Policy you may have different job perspectives according to your interests. You will have different opportunities to improve your job profile every semester.
Fieldwork:
Client led project:
Internship:
Dissertation:
The probable salary after completing master’s may vary between 12 to 15 LPA. Hence, you will have many avenues open for you after graduating from NLSIU.
NLSIU, NALSAR has a reputation all over the country and is among the top-ranked colleges.
NLSIU, NALSAR will definitely offer you numerous opportunities. But you will also need to work hard to secure good placement and opportunities.
It may not be the amount of time left that would be sufficient to crack the CLAT exam, but the utilization of the time left will surely give an edge over other things.
There are various people who have cleared the CLAT examination with just one month of preparation and there are also few people who have taken more than 2 years.
So, in 4 months’ time, one can make out a proper strategy for themselves, prepare a well-structured timetable and stick with it. Give more time to your weak areas and master your strengths. You should prepare and give mocks hand to hand.
It would be advised to give as many as possible. Also, make sure to analyze the mock results. You should accordingly make changes to your studying strategy.
The key to success is hard work. It may do wonders, therefore it is advisable to utilize your time well and keep pushing for a little more hard and smart work.
According to my friends from NLSIU Bangalore, it is best to join a coaching center as early as possible.
Brushing your strengths and weaknesses is necessary. With strategic planning and regular practice, you can easily secure a good score to get accepted at NLSIU Bangalore.
Yes, it does although there are some ifs and buts. IB scores come in a little later after the NLSIU admission process begins. So CBSE students have that advantage but I think IB should be fine too.
One of my friends didn't opt for IB for the same reason that they delayed the result and that might result in dropping a year. You can even opt for the exam while you are in the 11th class by choosing the option ‘Class 12 result pending’. That will help you get prepared for the exam and know the level of difficulty. It will act as a practice test for you.
Yes, why not. If you are interested in the subject and studying law is what your passion is then nothing else really matters.
There are so many people around us who take a drop for a year or two in order to fully prepare for their passion so that there are no setbacks. I know a friend who pursued this career after taking a drop for a year so that she could prepare well.
When you decide to go for NLSIU, you just have to work on your knowledge and CGPA. Those are the only two aspects that stand in your way towards your dream job. For studying law, you must have an understanding of the nuances of the subject. You also have to put hours of research into the subject.
If you have gotten into NLSIU and can’t pay the fees, you can apply for study loans. Your fees will be directly paid to the college if you take a study loan. You will be able to pay off your loan after you get a job.
You can also be eligible for merit cum means scholarships or any such equivalent. If you apply for this, a part of your fees or your entire fees will be waived off depending on your financial circumstances.
You can also find a sponsor to pay off your dues. There are many companies that can help you fund your studies.
In the top three law schools, the placement scenes are fantastic.
In terms of placement, WBNUJS has been doing really well. In the past, it has received 100% placement (not inclusive of those who do not sit for placements). The graduating class of 2020 received offers for all 78 participants who participated in the recruitment process.
With 30 students taking Day Zero in NALSAR, a total of 28 offers were offered, with 17 being accepted.
Last year at NLSIU, 47 final-year students who opted for it were hired by 19 businesses. The average remuneration package was about Rs 18 lakhs. In 2020, 40 job offers were made during NLSIU's day zero recruitment, which set a record.
The average salary at each of the top three law schools is nearly identical. Domestic and international firms pay different amounts for traineeships, with the average foreign firm package ranging from INR 38 lakhs to 44 lakhs and the average domestic firm package ranging from INR 8 lakhs to 18 lakhs.
Also, it's not only about attending one of the top three law schools; possibilities abound and are available to students from all law schools. If you are dedicated and hardworking, you will find a place at the top.
Strategy is something that you need to design on your own. What worked for someone else may not work for you. There may be a common ground of how to go about some subject for your CLAT preparation. But no one can give you any full proof plan. You need to develop your own strategy based on your strengths and weaknesses.
Now let’s discuss whether you can clear CLAT with one month of preparation or not. It depends on your level of preparation.
So if you have a hang of the subjects, consistent practice is the key to ace the test.
