Before choosing a college, you need to keep a lot of things in mind, like the environment, location, placements, faculty and overall curriculum.
One of my friends studied at IP University, and according to him here are some things you should know before selecting.
IP University:
Categories | IP University |
Course Fee | INR 3.16 lakh |
Placement Percentage | 80% |
Highest CTC | 11 LPA |
Average CTC | 6-8 LPA |
Recruiting Companies | Deloitte, Wipro, Accenture, HCL, etc. |
If you prefer living in a city then IP is the best choice. It provides the same level of education as UPES but in a much more reasonable package.
BBA at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU or IP University) is really good as it not only provides a valuable degree but also teaches the students to enhance their logical and analytical skills.
Placements at IP university are really good, students get placed in reputed companies like British Telecom, ICICI Bank, HDFC and Nestle.
Generally, a state university is perceived as better than a private university. Here are some of the benefits that IP offers.
While the benefits of joining Amity Universities are as follows.
However, you should note that at UG level, all IP programs are run by private colleges. So, you will be choosing between two private colleges. It’s better that you choose any of these two institutes according to your convenience.
Collecting transcripts from IP University can be difficult. You may need to wait for months and visit the main campus often to get the transcripts. But there are a few third parties that can help you get your transcripts in exchange for a reasonable amount. There’s a shop named NV Documentation opposite the university. You can contact them for getting your transcripts delivered.
If you are interested in Computer Science and want to pursue coding as a profession then doing a B.Tech from IPU will be better. At PGDAV, the teaching faculty for CS are not up to the mark. There is no placement in tech at DU. The atmosphere on campus is also not ideal for technical studies. The infrastructural facilities are also not good. Computers at labs stay down most of the time.
If you are opting to go for Business Analytics, then pursuing it from Chandigarh University will be better.
One of my cousins is a student of Chandigarh University, pursuing Business Analytics, and asserts how great the exposure she has been receiving there. Here is what she has to say about the course.
Other companies that visit CU are Deloitte, IDBI bank, Shopclues, Oracle India, PeopleScout, TechMahindra, Flipkart, Hafele India, Markets and Markets Research Pvt Ltd, Aditya Birla Fashion and Retails, Crescendo, Essar Services India Private Limited, Bandhan Bank.
In terms of placements, Manipal University, Jaipur is best. Along with good placements, it also offers decent academics. It has a well-established alumni network. The alumni network includes big names such as Satya Narayana Nadella (CEO of Microsoft), Rajeev Suri (CEO of Inmarsat). As per Manipal University Jaipur placement highlights of recent years, the average CTC offered is INR 5.43 LPA.
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) is an average rated university. Here’s discussing every aspect of the university.
Therefore it is suggested that you try for colleges like DTU for the unpopular streams. But if you wish to opt for courses like CSE, IT or ECE, it is better to drop a year and prepare yourself for the exam next year.
B.tech. in Civil engineering is a flagship program of DTU. Admission is made on the basis of marks scored by a candidate in Class XII and candidate’s performance in JEE Main/ JEE Advance. The final selection of the program is based on the allocation of seats through Joint Seat Allocation Authority. The four-year program is an amalgamation of courses to help students understand thedesign and construction of various structures like bridges, buildings, roads, tunnels, and dams.
B.tech. in CSis a flagship program at bothUSIT and MAIT. Admission is made on the basis of candidate’s performance in JEE Mainas well as candidates need to sit for theIPUCET examination, which is conducted by the institute. The program is a dual degree course of 6 years, made by integrating B.tech and M.tech in CS.

The placement depends on the type, ranking, students, and a lot more. All the colleges listed above have a good record of placement. Some have the highest number of students placed in CSE, the some in ECE. It purely depends on the choice of the student of what he/she chooses.
