The first thing you need to know regarding your question is that the performance of the colleges depends on how much hard work you put in to learn certain things. However, after doing some research online, I got to know some things about it.
Basically, if your college provides good placements, it is good; if you are good at computers and your college does not provide good campus placements, you must struggle and find off-campus employment.
And if you are good at computers and attend a college that has good campus placements, you can jump-start your career with little effort. The idea is to get a job as soon as you finish your 7th semester.
RGPV University is better for Engineering. Being a Govt autonomous institute, the course fees are affordable. It offers decent facilities and placements. RGPV placements 2021 had an average CTC of INR 3.5 LPA. The highest CTC offered this year was INR 18 LPA. IBM, Accenture, TCS, Infosys, etc. are among some of the major recruiters that take part in the placement drive.
There are several clubs and Associations at the college. It totally depends on you in which area your interest lies, whether in cultural or technology or sports, etc.
You can become an active member of your college cultural committee or you can become a member of your respective branch association run by respective departments of your college. One of my friends was one of the core members of the department at this college and he used to organize the tech-fest.
Apart from this CSVTU also organizes cultural and sports events every year at youth fests, so you can become a part of that too.
If you are enthusiastic about learning new things, then this is the right time to explore the opportunities.
