IBS is known for calling all candidates to Hyderabad for counseling and then informing them that they have been admitted to a different branch of IBS in another location. This does not provide the candidate with the opportunity to go home and make an informed decision based on research.
If you are admitted to the main IBS Hyderabad campus, it would be a good option.
However, other branches of ICFAI are not highly ranked. In that case, the Jaipuria Institute of Management in Lucknow is a better option. The author personally recommends the Jaipuria Institute of Management due to their overall experience there. The institute places a lot of emphasis on the overall grooming of students, and their placement opportunities are a major factor in the recommendation.
IBS Hyderabad is a decent B-School. It has a brand image and is well recognized in the industry. The institute offers good internships and placement opportunities. IBS Hyderabad placements 2022 concluded with an average CTC of INR 8 LPA. While the highest international CTC received by the students this year was INR 53 LPA.
IBS has a good faculty base. Most of the faculties have good corporate experience. The teaching methodology is case-study-based.
One drawback of IBS Hyderabad is the huge batch size. It’s difficult for students to get good placement opportunities.
BIMM Pune is one of the best Management colleges in Pune. It offers better ROI compared to IBS Hyderabad and SIMC Pune.
IBS Hyderabad is a NAAC ‘A’ grade institute and consistently ranked among the top B-Schools in India. IBS provides a synthesis of Indian and International perspectives, emphasis on case-based learning, Business Modelling and simulation and creates a strong industry interface.
SIMC Pune is one of the few colleges offering an MBA in Communications Management. They offer 4 specializations under the communications management program - Brand Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, and Media Analytics, Media Management.

SIMC Pune unlike the other two colleges has a specialized MBA program. If you find Communications Management interesting you can opt for it. Otherwise, BIMM Pune or IBS Hyderabad will be a better choice.
It is recommended that you keep SIMSREE and GIM at the top of your list of colleges to consider. Both of these colleges have a strong reputation and are well known for providing quality education in the field of management.
While IBS Hyderabad may also be worth considering, it is important to keep in mind that each college has its own strengths and weaknesses. It may be more suitable for some students based on their individual needs and goals, while it may not be the best fit for others.
On the other hand, SIBM Bangalore should not be included in your list of colleges to compare. There may be various reasons why this college is not as highly ranked as the other colleges mentioned, and it may not provide the same level of education and resources as the other colleges.
In conclusion, it is important to carefully consider all factors and make an informed decision based on your individual needs and goals. Take the time to research each college and weigh the pros and cons to determine the best fit for you.
IBS Hyderabad is the better option.
Although IBS Hyderabad MBA course fee is around INR 16 Lakhs. So, the ROI is lower.
IBS Hyderabad is better than Symbiosis Hyderabad. IBS is a reputed well-established brand name in the management fraternity. It is a much older college and hance has a huge alumni base. There is a lot more to MBA than classroom learning. IBS provides that experience through club events, group activities, peer learning.
IBS Hyderabad also has a better placement record.

Overall, IBS Hyderabad is a better choice.
You will find that BIMTECH has an advantage in terms of a better batch size, which leads to better quality placements in multiple sectors and provides a better return on investment compared to IBS Hyderabad. Additionally, placements have been improving and the overall experience is also positive.
Statistics reveal that by the end of November, 75% of the students were placed, with an average salary of approximately INR 8.6 LPA. The highest salary offered was INR 14 LPA and the lowest was INR 6 LPA.
It is to be noted that Birla Institute of Management and Technology (BIMTECH) Greater Noida has completed 100% placement for its PGDM 2021-2023 batch as early as January 2023, well before the batch completion. The placement data for 2023 demonstrates that the average salary has increased by 20% to over INR 11 LPA from INR 9.38 LPA the previous year. The highest salary has also increased to INR 23.43 LPA from INR 18 LPA the previous year.
Renowned companies such as Schneider Electric, Capgemini, and Kantar have come to offer good job profiles to students.
IBS Hyderabad will be better than IMT Hyderabad. It teaches Harvard cases in the 3rd and 4th semesters. The course work includes more than 1000 case studies. Many of the professors in this institute are internationally acclaimed.
IBS Hyderabad placement records have been pretty good over the recent years. During 2022 placement drive, the average CTC offered was INR 8.55 LPA. While the highest CTC offered was INR 53.45 LPA (International).
However, IBS Hyderabad has a huge batch size. Due to the large batch size, all the students don’t get groomed and placed well.
Symbiosis has only good colleges in Pune. SIBM Hyderabad is merely an extension of the franchise, designed to attract students from all over India. If you are interested in attending a Symbiosis college, you should consider SIBM Pune, not SIBM Hyderabad. The same is true for IBS; IBS has many branches, such as IBS Pune and IBS Bangalore, but these are only extensions of the main campus, which is IBS Hyderabad.
It is recommended that you choose a main campus college, rather than an extension of a good college.
The final Verdict is that you should go for IBS Hyderabad. It is always recommended to do your own research and gather information from multiple sources before making a decision on your education. Additionally, factors such as personal preferences, career goals, and financial considerations should also be taken into account.
IBS Hyderabad isn’t a good option for MBA. The placement record of the institute isn’t good. You won’t get a good ROI. The course fee for an MBA at IBS Hyderabad is INR 16.02 lakhs. While the average CTC offered to the students according to IBS Hyderabad placement highlights for 2022 is INR 7.97 LPA.
The student intake is huge. Batch strength for MBA is 1300. So, students don’t get equal opportunities in terms of academics and placements.
