In the session 2018-19, around 90% of UG students got placed with the highest CTC offered being 39 LPA and the average CTC was 11.44 LPA. For PG students, the placement rate was 69%. There is an option for a 100% Tuition Fee waiver for SC/ST/PH students. And, full remission of the fee for most economically backward students (whose family income is less than Rs.1 lakh per annum). To get into IIT Bhubaneswar civil engineering you need to get through a written exam and an interview. After receiving the call letter from IIT Bhubaneswar, make travel arrangements, and reach there a day before, get settled properly before the written exam/ interview. You should study and prepare only for that subject for which you are being called. Mostly in interviews, they don’t ask Maths and Aptitude so you can skip it, but prepare your core subject properly. The results of the written test are declared within 1 hour of the exam. If you are selected, you will have to go through document verification. Online Applications are taken for students who wish to apply for the Remission of fees for B. tech/ Dual degree students under the Notice no. 204. The students who are willing to apply can do so by logging on to the ERP site of the institute.
Students whose family income is not more than 5 Lakhs are eligible for remission. The students whose family income is less than 1 lakh are eligible for full remission of tuition fees and whose family is between 1 Lakh and 5 Lakhs per annum shall get a remission of 2/3rd of the fees.
