The placement scenario for MBA in Entrepreneurship and family business from NMIMS, Mumbai is decent but not at par with a regular MBA. However, this is understandable enough as the course is less in demand than the regular MBA. However, the packages offered are quite low because the students joining the program are no geniuses with great academic backgrounds and interview performances. The low demand is the main reason for low packages.
Mainly the students who choose this program over a regular MBA, don’t want to settle just for a job. Their primary goal is to get a better understanding of running a business. So the role offered pays less but is challenging enough.

Both the colleges give an equal edge to each other in terms of establishment and worth yet if I had to choose one, I would definitely go for SIBM. I have stated a few points favoring and reasoning my choice
- Batch size: The major perk of SIBM over NMIMS is its small batch size in comparison to NMIMS. This facilitates better placements and teacher-student interaction.
- Fees: The fees of SIBM Pune is lower than that of NMIMS because of accommodation and living costs.
- SIBM Pune MBA fees: ? 13,49,000/Yr
- NMIMS MBA fees: ?11.95 Lakhs (1st Year Fees)
- Hostel: SIBM Pune has a hostel facility in contrast to NMIMS which has hostels for limited people that too at a high cost.
- Campus life: SIBM Pune provided you with an experience of campus life which is lacking on the part of NMIMS.
- Placements: Although both the B Schools have a 1% placement percentage, the quality of roles is low at NMIMS due to the huge batch size. The time taken for the batch to get placed is also more in the case of NMIMS.
- COL: The cost of living is less in the case of SIBM Pune whereas a lot is in the case of NMIMS Mumbai.
- Specialization: While NMIMS is mostly known only for its Finance, SIBM excels in both Finance as well as Marketing.
All these points conclude that SIBM Pune is a safer and better option.

What is the placement procedure of NMIMS?
The NMIMS placement procedure is rather lengthy and involves a number of steps.
- Step 1: Preparing your CV- The first and foremost step of the placement procedure is to prepare your CV. The placement committee releases a predetermined format for the same and you have to prepare your CV in accordance with it and get it approved by the committee.
- Pre-placement talks: These talks are held throughout the year and especially as the placement season commences. It’s a two-way process as the students are offered an insight into the kind of roles and packages offered by the visiting companies and the companies in turn get an insight into the quality of the batch on the basis of questions asked.
- Placement applications: Students are required to fill in the placement forms in the desired companies. The companies invite applications for interested candidates to apply. This process may include assessment tests, uploading videos, or writing about yourself and why should the company hire you.
- Placement days: The commencement of the placement season is what onsets the visits of companies on the campus. The days are hectic with companies visiting the campus alongside PTTs. Every company has its own discrete criteria for selection which may include group discussions and other rounds. The results are declared mostly on the same day.
- Final Acceptance: The selected candidates are sent an email from the company informing them of their final acceptance.
The placement procedure remains the same for both summer placements and final placements except that summer placements are less hectic and competitive.
