IITs and NITs have always been the first priority of the students seeking admission into engineering colleges. • Per year course fee for BTech at IIT Dhanbad is INR 2.3 Lakhs and INR 86000 at MNNIT.

• The MTech per year course fee at IIT Dhanbad is INR 57000, and INR 1.13 lakhs at MNNIT.

Placements:

• IIT Dhanbad never fails to maintain an impressive placement record. 75% of students were placed from the petroleum branch. The highest package offered was 21 lakhs.

But IIT BHU offers a better coding culture than MNNIT Allahabad. • BIT Mesra is renowned for the amazing placement opportunities that it has in store for the students. Some of the top recruiter companies visiting there campus are Wipro, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, etc.

• In the year 2019, 120 companies participated in the campus recruitment and offered jobs to 831 students. The highest package offered was INR 49.76 Lakhs (Per Annum), whereas the average salary offered was INR 11.76 Lakhs (Per Annum).

• Whereas, the median salary was 8 LPA.

Both MNNIT Allahabad as well as BIT Mesra have seen a considerable increase in their placement opportunities for almost all courses. It depends more on the student’s interest and feasibility to choose between Information Technology at MNNIT Allahabad or Computer Science Engineering at BIT Mesra.

For the most part, it depends upon how careful you are with your budget. Commonly, local trips, note print-outs, and books take up a quarter of the expenses. Generally speaking, the major portion of expenses technically results from the food facilities you avail of.

You can avail food from the hostel mess three times per day. Typically, the food quality can range anywhere from average to bad. However, the provision of food from the hostel mess is still quite acceptable, especially if you are a vegetarian.

Having said that, you can most likely find yourself making frequent trips to several food joints situated both in and out of the campus. Apart from that, you can pay a visit to the Civil Lines about once or twice a month at a minimum as well.

The food joints and restaurants situated in Allahabad are quite affordable when compared to other mega metropolitan or metropolitan cities. Which is to say, an average of about INR. 3000 to INR. 3500 can be quite enough to pass through a month if discreetly spent.

On the flip side, if you can manage well with the food facilitated by the mess, then you can conveniently take down your expenses to about INR. 2000 per month.

If your main goal is to study economics, maths and statistics then opting for IPM at IIM Indore would be a very good idea. However, the fee structure is very high. INR 4,00,000 per annum for domestic students and for international students, it is INR 6,00,000.

You will also have to study subjects which you will necessarily not like such as sociology, psychology, etc.

Another drawback is that there is no degree for IPM. You will only get a certificate from IGNOU.

In the case of NIT Allahabad, it is a reputed institute for engineering. You will be able to study subjects that meet your interests. The fees are also very less. In the placement drive of 2020, the highest package offered to the students was INR 49 LPA. Some of the top recruiters were IBM, Adobe, Accenture, Tata Steel, Capgemini, etc. The average package was INR 10.28 LPA.

IT from MNNIT Allahabad is the better choice. The following are the support points.

• MNNIT ranks among the top NITs in India. In the 2020 ranking, NIRF ranked MNNIT Allahabad at 48. 
• MNNIT Allahabad has a better placement record than NIT Goa. 

• The hostel life of the college is amazing. However, the food quality can be a big problem for you.
• The coding culture, club activities, and competitions in MNNIT make it a better choice.

Overall, MNNIT will offer better opportunities as compared to NIT Goa.
