Yes, you can opt for an MBA with dual specialization at LPU. You can opt for two specializations of your choice in the 2nd year of your degree program. These are the specializations which you can opt for-

I am currently studying at LPU, and I can assure you that the university takes ample initiatives for the personality development of its students. 

The curriculum at LPU includes core subjects as well as communication, analytical and soft skill courses for the personality development of students. This in return, works to increase their employability. Both credit and non-credit based soft skill courses are taught to the students to increase their interpersonal skills and placement ability. 

These courses are known under the umbrella term of Professional Enhancement Programmes (PEP). Through these courses, the students are prepared well so that they can succeed during placements. PEP lectures start from semester 1 and continue till the final semester. Moreover, the university conducts extensive training sessions to prepare students for the placement season. 

LPU is a good institution for someone who wants plenty of exposure and opportunities apart from the usual academic lectures.

Lovely Professional University does not offer a B.Tech in Petroleum Engineering. But you can opt for B.Tech Chemical Engineering at LPU.

Petroleum Engineering is a subset of Chemical Engineering. Chemical Engineering deals with the use of Chemistry to create novel compounds, food, fuel, and medications. A Chemical Engineer can work in the Petroleum Industry as well. 

Both Government and Private sectors have openings for Chemical Engineers. As a Chemical Engineer, you can work in various sectors like- Process Design for Fire and Explosives, Food Industry, Pharmaceutical Industry, Thermo-Fluids, and more.

The Chemical Engineering faculty and curriculum are both good at LPU. Thus, I would suggest you consider B.Tech Chemical Engineering at LPU. 

While many companies require participating students to have a CGPA of above 7, you can still participate in campus drives at LPU. The university generally allows students to appear in the campus drives irrespective of their CGPA. 

You may be required to fulfil certain eligibility criteria asked by the university or the nature of the job offered by the participating company. A low CGPA can affect your chances of selection if not disqualify you from the campus drive. Taking part in campus drives will provide you with valuable experiences and networking opportunities, which may be beneficial for someone like you with a low CGPA.

The placement process starts during the final year of courses at LPU. You have to enroll for the placement classes to be eligible for the placement process. Seats are allocated based on the course discipline. You have to pay the fees for PEP classes and preparation classes. 

After completing classes, you can appear in the interviews. Many companies have requirements like a CGPA score to be eligible for the interview. For example, some companies only want students with more than 7 CGPA.

LPU provide students with the opportunity to re-appear in the exam they fail so that their academic year can be saved. The general steps that can be followed are as follows. 

• If you fail the BSc exam, you will be given three attempts to clear the backlog. If you manage to pass on the first attempt, your passing marks will be recorded otherwise you can move forward with the second or third attempt if necessary. 
• The University Management System (UMS) is responsible for conducting reappear exams. It generally takes place 10 to 15 days after the release of marks/results. 
• Reappearing exam notification is released by UMS. You will be required to fill out the reappearing exam form for the subject you want to reappear in. 
• The university may also ask you to completely re-enroll in the course if needed.
