NIT Bhopal also called MANIT (Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology) is approved by MHRD and AICTE. It is ranked 65 for BTech and 101 overall by NIRF 2020. BTech in Electrical Engineering is offered as a 4 year full time course.

Both the colleges are reputed and are considered the top Engineering colleges in India. A BTech degree is of 4 years, if you want to opt for a dual degree you will receive an MTech degree too all in the span of 5 years. FISAT Kochi has been ranked at 96th for Engineering among Indian Engineering colleges, and SCMS Cochin has been ranked 85th in the same list. Both the colleges are private institutes, approved by AICTE.

Admission Process:

• Admissions to the FISAT BTech program is based on the scores obtained inKEAM/JEE Main, followed by counselling, and admission to the programme through management quota is based on the rank in the merit list. 50% of total seats are reserved for centralized allotment by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, and the remaining 50% are reserved for management quota (including NRI)
• At SCMS Cochin, admission is through counselling based on rank obtained in Kerala Engineering, Architecture, Medical (KEAM), and the same is for the Management quota.

• The final selection is based on the performance of the students in JEE Main.

• The closing cut-off ranking of the home state and other states for Mechanical Engineering in 2019 was 140822 and 123322 respectively.

• The fee for this course is 99,404.

• The highest and average salaries received by the students are 10 LPA and 3.5 LPA respectively.

Biotechnology and Mechanical Engineering are two completely different subjects. You should choose the subject you are more passionate about and the institute according to that.
