My brother is currently a first-year student of the same and has a lot to say about the course through his experience. He joined the program only after in-depth research. - The curriculum is similar to that of the IMT Ghaziabad PGDM program but the additional international exposure is the cherry on the top.

- The marketing enthusiasts get to experience the splendid GITEX (Gulf Info Tech Exhibition). It’s an electronics trade show at the Dubai World Trade Centre that is held twice a year. It is a unique opportunity to gain Sales and Marketing experience.
- Recently the DCP students have made the name of the institution through international companies. Some major achievements include - 4 teams of DCP made it to the finals of the Global Management Challenge with 6 other UAE teams and one DCP team was 4th in the region; The DCP team under the mentorship of Dr. Zalzala won the Google Online Marketing Challenge (GOMC) in the Middle East and Africa.
- The internship and placement scenario is a bit confusing because in Dubai internships start in January whereas in India internships begin in August.
- The placements take place in India itself and DCP students are treated at par with the regular students. Despite this many companies offer better offers to DCP students mainly because of their widely gained exposure.

What are some things to do a month before joining an MBA from IMT, Ghaziabad?
The campus life at IMT Ghaziabad is very stressful and fast-paced. You need to prepare for this well beforehand so that you don’t end up in a slump. I have listed a few skills you can adopt to make your best time in IMT Ghaziabad.
- Time management: This is the most crucial skill you need to inculcate before joining IMT Ghaziabad or any other B School. You cannot make the best use of all the opportunities offered until you know how to manage and prioritize your time. The first year is packed with assignments, group projects, case readings, committee work, competitions, and mid-term assessments. You need to learn to manage your time to make the best out of these.
- Presentation skills: These include skills to use software tools like MS PowerPoint, Prezi, etc. to create a visually effective presentation. You can also work on your presentation delivery skills.
- Data Analysis: The pedagogy for most courses is case-based that will include appendices of financials. Apart from this, most companies today are data-driven, and having specialization in the same will only increase your profile and potential.
- Social Skills: IMT Ghaziabad batch size is usually bigger than other B Schools. The more people the more variety of backgrounds you will be dealing with. So it's best you prepare yourself to interact with them both informally and formally during Group Discussions and committee events.

What is it like to study at IMT Ghaziabad?
IMT Ghaziabad’s campus life is quite a rigorous and dynamic one. You enter the college all naive and unaware and leave the college as one of the most confident and informed people. They nourish you and make you industry ready.
To get a clearer experience of life at IMT Ghaziabad, I have explained in detail the term-wise experience of my cousin who recently passed out of this college.
First term: Right when you join the college, you will have to sit for interviews to get into various companies, attend classes, attend Personality Development Programs, and do various other assignments. All this will make you extremely busy during the initial months. The term ends with Final Exams which are the most difficult. You can get help from committees that arrange examination sessions.
Second Term: The rigor only increases in the second term. Apart from the regular classes and assignments you now have to get involved in various events held by the committees. You will have to contribute by getting sponsorship for the committee, designing the concept of the event, marketing the event, getting participation, etc. Once the event has been successfully wound up, you can enjoy the IMT Committee parties which are real stress boosters. This term too ends with Final Exams which are the climax of stress and hard work.
Third Term: While many may think that after 2 hectic terms, you will now get accustomed to the rigorous, and the third term may seem a bit less stressful, you are wrong. This term is the most stressful period of the first term owing to the Summer Placements. You have to constantly prepare for placements and the campus is unusually busy and everyone is working hard. During the placement week, the companies visit, and most of the students who get placed are relaxed. Yet the ones who fail to get placed keep preparing as some companies visit after the placement week also. This term also witnessed another round of commuter events which because of clashing with placements are a real challenge. Students somehow manage both together. This term is famous for the great entertainment Management event Passion organized by SAWC and the Cultural Committee. The event ends with a freshers' party and the term ends with Final exams yet again.
Fourth Term: This is the most relaxing term as you are now over with the placements and events. The electives are also fewer and everything sails smoothly. You can relax and prepare well for your internship.

What is the minimum marks required in 10th, 12th for IMT Ghaziabad, apart from CAT cutoff?
Pondering over your past academics will do you no good. It’s not that you can change your marks by checking the minimum marks required. The best way is to focus on preparing your CAT as it’s the controllable way you can get shortlisted. You cannot change what has happened and wasting your time worrying about those marks will only hinder your preparation and performance in CAT.
You can do that once you have performed excellently in CAT and the score is out.

- PGDM Marketing/PGDM Full Time (Marketing): This is the most coveted program among IMT students mainly because today its alumni have acquired top positions in big firms. Other major reasons include top-notch faculty, great internship and placement opportunities in terms of role and CTC, IMT’s eligibility, and excellent performances in recognized marketing and strategy B Schools competitions.
- PGDM Finance/PGDM Full Time (Finance): This one is most suitable for aspirants who are interested in Finance. However, this program offers lesser opportunities than the Marketing program in terms of role and CTC.
- PGDM Full Time (Operations): This program offers opportunities similar to that of Finance. But the batch size of PGDM Operations is smaller than PGDM Finance, so it may be easier to secure an internship/final placement, but the opportunities come less compared to Finance.
- PGDM DCP: DCP or the Dual Country Program is for those who are keen to get international exposure. Compared to an MBA from a foreign university, this program is cheaper and yet offers an opportunity to explore a different culture and learn to make decisions in an international context. This is best suitable for those who are in the Marketing domain.
- PGDM Banking and Financial Services (PGDM-BFS): This program was launched in 2019 and is relatively newer. It targets the core Banking and Finance sector. While the MBA program aims to provide a holistic view of management, this program solely focuses on Banking and Finance.
- PGDM Full Time (HR): This is the least taken course and offers very less in terms of opportunities.

Moreover, even the greatest B Schools have a few students who fail to get placed. These include the top 3 IIMs as well. This is because of the general nature of B Schools and is technically not the institution’s fault. It’s because of the tough competence within a B School.
The top B Schools are a hub of geniuses and if you are anywhere below excellent your journey inside the B School will be tough. The guidelines are tough and the professors only want perfect results.
