I am the right person who can answer this question because my brother recently completed his BTech in Electrical Engineering from IIT Delhi. He revealed the actual side of the placements in Electrical, the side that no media covers and is the dark reality.
Indeed there are packages as high as INR 70 LPA, but these opportunities are outside India in countries like Singapore, South Korea, the US or the UK. Other core jobs offered to Electrical students are limited to India and are very few with average packages.
The only perk of being a student of this branch is that it is a general branch covering diverse sectors and you are open to sitting for placements in all sectors be it Finance, Consultancy, Core, Coding, or Data Science. Electrical Engineering is a generalized and vast branch. However, the packages for these are mediocre with the highest around 25 LPA (CTC). The in-hand salary is much lower.

I would rather recommend you go for Uber than join Google (India). A few reasons that justify my opinion are

Overall, the time spent at IIT Delhi will groom your personality in the real sense making you smarter, wiser, and more humble than ever.
All the entrance exams for IIT Delhi executive MBA are just a formality and the program itself is just a source of money for the Institute. The key to manage your UPSC preparation while doing an MTech from IIT Delhi is to score well in your optional subjects rather than General Subjects. A successful candidate scores 275+ in optional whereas an unsuccessful candidate scores around 240. The General Subjects' scores are usually the same.
So prepare well for optional in MTech because you can prepare for GS in just a year. Focus more on optional as it’s a major criterion for selection.
