Does Amity University, Noida provide hostels to students from Delhi, NCR?

NM
Neetu Mishra Posted On : April 5th, 2023
studied at Amity University, Noida

If you're planning to enroll in Amity University Noida and wondering about the accommodation options available, here are some important points to consider:

  • Amity University Noida does not give preference to students who live within 200 kms of their campus. This means that students coming from farther away are likely to get priority when it comes to hostel accommodation.
  • There are a good number of private hostels located around Gate 2 of Amity Noida that you can consider if you don't get accommodation on campus. However, it's important to do your research and make sure that the hostel you choose is safe, and comfortable, and offers all the necessary amenities.
  • If you're looking for the best hostel experience and don't want to miss out on any fun, then Stanza Living could be a great choice. They offer top-notch accommodation in the city with modern amenities, fast and free wifi, and 4 times a day healthy and flavorful meals.
  • In addition to these basic amenities, Stanza Living also provides access to Stanza Social and Stanza Springboard events, which can help you make new friends and develop new skills outside of the classroom.
  • Stanza Living has a strong focus on community living, which means that you'll be living with other students and can expect a lively and fun atmosphere. They also have a dedicated team of staff members who are available 24/7 to help you with any issues or concerns you may have.
  • Finally, it's worth noting that while Stanza Living may be slightly more expensive than other accommodation options, the benefits they offer in terms of quality of life and community experience may be well worth the investment.

In conclusion, while Amity University Noida does not guarantee hostel accommodation for students who live within 200 kms of their campus, there are plenty of private hostels around the area to choose from. However, if you're looking for the best hostel experience with top-notch amenities and a strong focus on community living, then Stanza Living could be a great option to consider.

Is Amity University Noida the best for a BA in psychology?

RS
Raj Srivastav Posted On : March 1st, 2021
BA PSYCHOLOGY AMITY UNIVERSITY, Noida (2021)

One of my friends is pursuing her BA(H) in Applied Psychology from Amity University. According to her experience, Amity University is definitely not the best, but it is not a bad option either. Given below is a brief review of the course.

Faculty:

  • The faculties are well-qualified. Most of them have their Ph.D. or doing their Ph.D. from Amity University.
  • Although most of the teachers do not have time to come to the class because of some of the other issues. Sometimes, they are in the middle of a conference, annual function, or a Sangathan or sports day.

Attendance:

At Amity, attendance is a big issue. You need to maintain at least 75% attendance in each subject.

Extra-subjects:

In Amity, you don’t join psychology or any particular course, but the baggage of other subjects like foreign languages, English, BS, EVS, and many more. You will have to study a total of 12 subjects in the first semester itself. Out of these subjects, only some of them are useful, the rest do not even matter if they were a part of the curriculum for psychology or not.

The BA Psychology department has almost 1800 students in the department, 7 sections for BA Psychology Hons, and each section has 60 students. The faculty members are not at par with the count required to teach 7 sections. So, you might face some difficulty with the lectures taught because of the huge crowd of students attending the lecture, all at the same time, in the same hall. But this problem is temporary.

Extra-curricular:

  • You’ll be told to give a lot of presentations. Which helps improving public speaking skills. There are many extra-curricular activities that help in your overall development. Only proactive students take up the opportunities because this participation in these programs is not compulsory. The schedule in Amity is quite hectic.
  • Constant seminars and NGO projects are organized alongside your curriculum. There are summer internships for the students, just the way they are organized for other departments.

Fee Structure:

As far as fee structure is concerned, it will cost you around 1 lakh per year, which is quite high as compared to DU, which has an annual fee of 10,000.

The number of girls in each section is more. The ratio of the number of girls to boys is 8:1. It would be best for you to go for options like Ambedkar University or DU. But Amity is not that bad. You would definitely enjoy those 3 years in the university.

Is it easy to score CGPA (expected above 8) in Amity University Noida for B.Tech?

AG
Ankita Garg Posted On : March 1st, 2021
Studied at Amity University

No, it’s not easy to score above 8 in Amity. You need to be very particular and disciplined about your studies to be able to achieve above 8 in Amity. You need to keep your attendance above 90% for all the subjects. You should try to become the CR of the class. It helps in many situations.

Keep yourself away from any kind of community, society, organizations, or student chapters. They will take up so much of your time and energy. You won’t realize it initially but later on, when things will get out of your hands, you will realize the importance of the time wasted in those meetings, functions, and seminars by the student chapters.

You can even be a part of extracurricular activities but at your own risk. You need to first focus on your academics, and then on anything else.

Which college is better for civil engineering--Amity Noida or Acharya Institute of Technology, Bangalore?

SP
Sachin Pal Posted On : September 25th, 2020
Studied at Acharya Institute of Technology (2015)

Before looking into civil engineering in specific within these colleges, Amity is definitely much more renowned than Acharya Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangalore. Considering the NIRF ranking of Amity over past years, which always managed to stay around 30, it is one of the top private institutes in India. On the other hand, Acharya is known to be a good college in Bangalore city.

Fee Structure:

How good the college might be one will always take the fee amount into consideration before selecting the college.

The average annual fee in Amity is around INR 3.11 Lakhs and that of Acharya is also around INR 3 Lakhs. But the first year fee in Acharya is around 6 lakhs while for the rest of the years being around INR 1.8 Lakhs. The overall amount remains nearly the same, it’s about affordability here.

Placements:

Getting placed in a core company from campus is rare sight unless you’re in the premier institutes. It’s not the case with Amity. There are around 11 companies specifically recruiting civil engineering graduates.

  • While there are some civil department-specific placements in AIT, students mostly get placed in IT and Software companies.

  • The Average package at AIT is around 7 LPA, it’s around 4.5 LPA at Amity, considering 1700 placed students and 525 recruiters for that year, and those are some good placement stats.

  • Few core companies that recruit from Amity are Eleation, ZTE, Gemalto, etc.

Amity also has a Departmental Research cell concentrating on various aspects of civil engineering and its recent advances.

So, if one is choosing between AIT and Amity, it’s a clear choice that going with Amity would result in better opportunities and Core company placements. The presence of a research cell facility is always a welcome addition for students looking for higher studies after B. Tech.

How is Amity University, Noida for 3 year law?

NS
Nikita Sen Posted On : April 17th, 2021
Bachelor’s in Pharmacy Bachelor of Pharmacy & Business, Amity University, Noida (2021)

As far as a review of doing a 3 year LLB from Amity Law College, Noida, a friend of mine who did the course was not too keen on the college. According to her, the overall reputation of the college is not very good. As far as the faculty is concerned, it is alright, nothing extraordinary.

If you want to seriously pursue a law degree, a complete five-year law course is much better appreciated in the market. And if you are looking at placements, they are not that good. You will have to look for a job on your own if you are not from the top three national law schools. If not, do an LLM from abroad. That will probably help.

However, if you intend to pursue law within the country itself, you should look at colleges in South India that could be better than Amity Noida. Try IFIM law school as a first. Definitely don’t go to Amity Law School Noida.
