Whether you should opt for MnC at IIT Delhi or B.Math at ISI Bangalore depends on what you want from your graduation and your career prospects.

Academically both institutes are excellent and none is better than the other. So my answer entails the drastic difference in the curriculum and scope of the two programs.

Bachelor of Mathematics, ISI Bengaluru

This program has high-tech mathematical stuff and purely focuses on Mathematics. The Institute is smaller than IIT Delhi and ideal for those who have a single passion in life, Maths. The coursework consists of abstract algebra, analysis, probability theory, and so on. Additionally, it has compulsory courses in Statistics, Probability, and Physics as well. Although it offers some CS courses also, the program does not focus on Computer Science much.

Math and Computing (MnC), IIT Delhi

The curriculum of the MnC program is more inclined toward computer science than Mathematics. The program focuses more on applied mathematics, rather than pure mathematics. As a result, graduates from this course can start jobs earlier than those from ISI.

In a nutshell, if you are willing to go for higher education and research in mathematics, then ISI should be your goal. If you are a person interested in the practical application of concepts and want to eventually be employed in a company, then IIT Delhi is the best place for you.

While the newer IIMs like Ranchi, Trichy, and Udaipur have a good reputation, IIT Delhi still offers certain advantages that make it stand out as a better option. Here are some reasons why you should consider IIT Delhi for your MBA:

• Placements: IIT Delhi has an impressive placement record, with several top-notch companies visiting the campus for recruitment every year. The average placement package for MBA graduates from IIT Delhi is also higher than that of the newer IIMs.
• Exposure: IIT Delhi has a larger and more diverse student body, which means that you'll have more opportunities to interact with students from different backgrounds and gain exposure to different industries and sectors.
• Faculty: IIT Delhi has a highly qualified and experienced faculty, with several professors who are experts in their fields. This means that you'll receive high-quality education and training from some of the best minds in the business.
• Academics: IIT Delhi's MBA program is highly regarded and has a rigorous curriculum that covers a wide range of topics, including finance, marketing, operations, and strategy. This will give you a strong foundation in business fundamentals and prepare you for a successful career in any industry.

While the newer IIMs are also good options for an MBA, IIT Delhi stands out as a better choice due to its strong reputation, impressive placement record, diverse student body, and highly qualified faculty. So, if you're looking for an MBA program that offers the best of everything, IIT Delhi should definitely be at the top of your list.

I have friends in both institutes and from what I have heard, the IIIT Delhi faculty is quite arrogant and has no interest in teaching. The professors at IIT Delhi were very approachable during internships and expressed their willingness to work with the students and help them find their thought processes. On the other hand, IIIT Delhi professors would mock you if you were unable to answer a particular question.

A friend shared an incident at IIT Delhi when one of the professors committed an unintentional mistake and retook his interview to apologize. Your Ph.D. depends a lot on the kind of professors you work under and I will never recommend you to do a Ph.D. under such arrogant professors 

Mathematics and Computing (M&C) is a branch offered at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi and is quite similar to the CSE branch in the sense that both focus on the study of computer science and technology. However, it’s important to note that M&C is more inclined towards mathematics and its applications in computing, while CSE focuses more on the engineering aspects of computer science.

Both branches offer similar courses in programming, algorithms, data structures, and software development, but M&C additionally covers math-oriented topics like Differential Equations, Number Theory, Linear Optimization, Algebra, Calculus, etc.

There are a number of courses like Discrete Mathematical Structures taught at both departments but separately by professors of the respective departments. 

Both branches are the most coveted branches and all companies opening job profiles for one branch offer the same to the other branch because of the similar nature of the branches.
