If you got a perfect score of 100 percentile on the CAT, you're almost there. The reason for this is that FMS has set a very high weightage of 85% for the CAT score in the final selection, so a 100 percentile means you don't need to worry about the other criteria.
However, this 85% does not take your CAT percentile into account. Rather, it considers your CAT scores (not percentile) with the following modifications (the figures represent the weightage given to the specific section):

This gives you your overall score. Additional 5 points are awarded to female candidates who appear for the interview when calculating the composite score.

People associate FMS with the ROI it provides, but they overlook many other benefits it provides, such as smaller batch sizes, good placements, location, DU campus, and so on. The following is the experience of a student's PI at FMS, Delhi.

He went to give his PI after his Group Discussion was finished. The interview was conducted by three female panellists. Before starting with the questions, he'd give an extempore about a project he worked on at his job. They then began questioning him about the nature of his job and his role in the company. They asked him a few basic statistics questions, such as what regression is, and went into detail about the project he mentioned in his extempore. The project was related to the analysis of data from a healthcare insurance company. They inquired about the project's scope, where he gathered data, and what the results of the analysis were. Though they grilled him extensively on this, he was able to answer their questions because he was very knowledgeable about what he did in that project. They also questioned him about his hometown and its history, the university he attended, his hobbies, and his strengths and weaknesses. 

The panellists ask questions to determine whether the candidate has a good mental presence and knowledge of the surroundings. The questions came in quick succession. And they needed answers quickly. It's critical to understand this because FMS interviews are brief. You must keep up with the panellists and respond accordingly.

To begin with, FMS does not take into account your graduation grades when making final hiring decisions or shortlisting candidates. Only your 10th and 12th-grade marks are taken into account, and they are only worth 5 points each. As a result, the grades you received in previous exams will have little bearing on you.

When it comes to a year back, it's becoming increasingly difficult to explain this. Any B-School expects you to have at least average grades on your previous exams.

Whatever is done is done, and it is recommended that you do not focus solely on one college, but rather keep your options open, and then prepare well for the CAT, because if you do not perform well in the CAT, all of these discussions are futile. It's better to think about all of this after the CAT because even if you don't get calls from these colleges, you'll have done your best and will be happy in whatever B-School you choose. So, first and foremost, prepare thoroughly for the CAT. 

Politics and sports are typically not included in GD/PI topics because the panelists cannot assume that all participants are well-versed or even interested in these topics. The panelists prefer delivery over content. Of course, content cannot be completely pointless wishful thinking, but exceptional delivery will always win.

Do not rush into the GD. Most GDs end up being a raging bustle of people interrupting one another and raising their voices to be heard. It is far preferable to remain silent for nearly 70% of the GD time and let the others argue over one topic. When you break in, the others will be taken aback and will silently listen to you. That automatically elevates you to the position of leader and earns you a lot of points.

When asked to sum up, do not include 'your thoughts' or use this as an opportunity to bring up points that were not covered during the discussion. The summary should solely contain the details of the discussion.

Speak slowly and deliberately. You'll be able to express yourself more clearly, and your audience will hang on to every word you say. That automatically elevates you to a position of authority and power - true management potential.
