When talking of Bangalore, it definitely is the IT hub, and starting your career here will definitely give you great exposure when you come from a computer science background. PES, BES, and Acharya Institute are among the top-notch colleges in Bangalore and will definitely add to your career.
Admission:
KIIT Bhubaneswar does all its admissions via its entrance test named KIITEE.
MIT Pune admits new students via JEE main / MHT CET/ BITSAT/ VITEEE/ MU OET/PERA CET exams.
PES Banglore asks for 60% in 10+2 as minimum qualification and rank in PESSAT will be considered to get shortlisted for admission.
And finally, BMS and Acharya Institue conduct theirs via KCET.
Affiliation:
People Education Society University (PES) and Bharat Education Society University (BES) are both autonomous colleges that set up high standards for the universities and the students applying for it have to go through internal exams to get in.
Acharya Institute of Technology is affiliated to VTU (Visvesvaraya Technological University) and approved by the AICTE. Acharya is also accredited by the NBA (National Board of Accreditation).
Campus:
All three institutes reside in the city of Bangalore; it will be a great opportunity for the locals as they have good options in picking up the college which provides exposure with people from across the country.
If we speak of universities outside Bangalore, then there are few colleges one can consider to move forward with where MIT Pune and KIIT Bhubaneswar are in the limelight. There isn't much to distinguish among the college infrastructure and fees. The crowd in both the universities comes from diligent areas as well as the faculty is well proficient in their respective fields.
Placements:
The placement offers of both these universities (PES and BES) are up to the mark, making no significant difference. The average CTC offered for a PES student is around 6.8 LPA.
Amazon, LT&T, Deloitte, Cisco, and Capgemini are the top recruits for PES Banglore. Microsoft, HP, and LG are the frequent recruiters of BMS Banglore. The other colleges on the list have mass recruiters like Infosys, Wipro, and TCS.
If looking for a calm environment, one can pick up KIIT over MIT; but as Pune does provide better opportunities than Bhubaneswar, MIT wins over.
With a lot of options in hand, it’s natural if a student gets confused picking up the perfect college. Well, it’s always the person who has to strive in the environment and thus have to make decisions accordingly.
Both colleges have their pros and cons. KIIT is a private college with a beautiful infrastructure whereas, IIEST is the oldest government college for engineering in India with average infrastructure. KIIT has a NIRF ranking of 24 while IIEST stands at the position of 21 among Engineering colleges.
Admissions:
KIIT:
Students are admitted on the basis ofKIITEE and thosewith 300-350 marks under 4000 rank secure a seat. IIEST SHIBPUR:
The comparison lies that IIEST Shibpur has a good value for money than KIIT. Although not many companies approach IIEST Shibpur in comparison to KIIT there stands a higher chance to get away with the highest package on skills and knowledge. Also, getting in is not as easy as JEE mains scoreshould be very high. But overall, IIEST Shibpur stands in a good place.
For a B.Tech, BIT Sindri is better. Due to the higher cutoff, the student crowd is comparably better. BIT brand name is recognized on an international scale. Many reputed companies visit the campus placements. The recruiters' list includes names such as TCS, Deloitte, Schlumberger, and Tata Steel. During BIT Sindri placements 2022, the highest CTC offered was INR 10.54 LPA.
No, KIIT is not a better option than VIT, Manipal, SRM, or even average NITs. this comes from the experience of several relatives of mine who are alumni of KIIT. Other mentioned institutes are better than KIIT in terms of education, exposure, and crowd quality. But if you are still adamant about KIIT, consider joining it only under the following circumstances
I will end with a note that your college doesn't really matter. What matters is the right mindset, aspirations, books, and knowledge. If you have all these, you will certainly succeed!
One of my friends graduated from KIIT and here are some things regarding your question, I got to know from her.
I can share the laptop specifications for the year 2019.
KIIT will provide you free service on any problem with the laptop other than damage dealt by you for which you have to pay for the service.
You need to have scored 60% on average in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics combined in 12th, in order to be eligible for KIIT University B.Tech degrees. For final admission, KIIT selects students based on their KIITEE score.
So, if you clear the required cutoff, you can get into B.Tech at KIIIT University through counseling.
