NIT Rourkela PhD Admission 2022 Open for Autumn Semester; Last Date to Apply is May 27

New Delhi: NIT Rourkela PhD Admission 2022 is currently ongoing for Autumn Semester (July) for the 2022-23 session. Aspiring candidates can submit the online application form through the official portal, nitrkl.ac.in.

NIT Rourkela offers a full-time PhD program in Biotechnology and Medical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Ceramic Engineering and 19 other specialisations. Students who qualify for NIT Rourkela PhD Admission 2022 will be required to complete the program in minimum 3 years and maximum of 5 years.

Interested candidates can submit their applications till May 27, 2022. For NIT Rourkela Admission 2022, candidates have to appear in the entrance test to be conducted by the institute from June 13-14, following which qualifiers will be called for final admissions from June 27.

Here are the basic eligibility criteria required for NIT Rourkela PhD Admission 2022:

• Aspiring candidates (for the Engineering department) must have a valid GATE score and at least 6.5 CGPA or 60% in the last qualifying degree exam (ME / M.Tech / B.Tech / BE from any recognized university

• Candidates applying to Science departments must have at least 65% in the last qualifying degree exam (M.Sc) from any recognised university

• Candidates applying to Humanities departments must have at least 60% in the last qualifying degree exam (M.A.) from any recognised university

• Candidates applying to Management departments must have at least 60% in the last qualifying degree exam from any recognised university along with valid GATE score

• Preference will be given to candidates who qualified UGC NET.

NIT Rourkela PhD Admission 2022: Selection Process

Candidates will be selected to the aforementioned courses through the following process:

• Firstly the applicants are shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the last qualifying exam 

• Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of GATE / NET score as well

• Shortlisted candidates then have to appear for a written Test and Personal Interview rounds

• Final selection is based on the overall performance
