New Delhi: Government Ayurvedic College and Hospital and Government Unani College in Lucknow have been de-affiliated by Lucknow University (LU). Ayush University, Gorakhpur will now be connected with these two colleges.
Sanjay Medhavi, registrar at Lucknow University, said: "All Ayurveda, Unani, and Homeopathy institutes in the state would henceforth be affiliated with Ayush University, according to the UP government. In accordance with the directive, we authorised the affiliation change proposal in the meeting ".
The LU executive council met on Wednesday and decided to de-affiliate these colleges.
"All newly admitted students will now receive degrees from Ayush University, according to information provided to colleges by LU, while those already enrolled will receive degrees from LU. Ayush University will now be in charge of administering the test "he said
Now, LU will teach medical students about pharmacy, yoga, and complementary therapies.
Lucknow University LLB admission started at DAV College
On Thursday, admissions for the institute's LLB programme opened. After counselling on the first day, 38 students were admitted for a total of 198 seats.
The candidates who were chosen based on the first merit will have a chance till November 5, according to Principal Prof. Sudhanshu Sinha. The college will then issue a second merit on the open seats, and those candidates will be given an opportunity. He stated that the EWS quota candidates' merit for admission had also been released. According to Dainik Bhaskar, there will be admissions on 18 seats in this quota.
