M.Sc. (Nursing)-Course Code: 8905

Duration of the course: 2 years

JIPMER M.Sc. 2015 Eligibility:

• Candidates should have passed the qualification of B.Sc Nursing degree of this Institute or any other University accepted as equivalent thereof;
• Sc. Nursing graduate should have one year of experience in a hospital or in a College or in a School of Nursing or in Community Health Program after registration in State Nursing Council
• Minimum of one year of work experience prior or after Post-basic B.Sc Nursing
• Candidate shall be medically fit
• Candidates who have obtained Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (P. B.Sc. Nursing) qualification from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) are not eligible for admission to M.Sc. (N) course at JIPMER

JIPMER M.Sc. 2015 Method of Selection:

• The Entrance Exam will be a Computer Based Test (CBT) /Online; the syllabus for the entrance exam will be B.Sc Nursing curriculum and will have 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) of single best response type
• The duration of the test is 1:30 hours
• Each answer with correct response will be given four marks and one mark shall be deducted for incorrect response; more than one answer indicated against the question will be deemed as incorrect response
• Questions that are answered and Marked for Review will be considered as Answered
• In case of equal marks thecandidates, scoring less negative marks shall be ranked higher
• The results will be displayed in the Notice Board and in the website www.jipmer.edu.in

M.Sc. Courses (Allied Medical Sciences):

M.Sc Medical Biochemistry-Course (Code: 8901)

Duration of the Course: 3 Years

Medical Biochemistry is at the heart of many medical disciplines like genetics, immunology and is a common language among various divisions of Life Sciences

The Masters course in Medical Biochemistry at JIPMER is in place for the last 32 years

Eligibility: Applicant should have qualified in a 3 year B.Sc. Degree Examination of a recognized Universitywith Biochemistry or Chemistry as main subject with Biology / Botany/Zoology as ancillary subject or;

Candidates with B.Sc Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized University

Method of Selection: MCQ paper in the subject of B.Sc Biochemistry at the level of B.Sc standard

M.Sc. MLT-Microbiology-Course (Code: 8902)

Duration of the Course: 2 years

Eligibility: Applicants should have qualified in a 3 years B.Sc. Degree Examination of a recognized University with Microbiology/Biotechnology as main subject with Biology/Botany/Zoology as ancillary subject/B.Sc. Zoology or;

Candidates with B.Sc. Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized university

Method of Selection: MCQ paper in the subject of Microbiology at the level of B.Sc. standard

M.Sc. MLT-Cyto Pathology-Course Code: 8903

Duration of the Course: 2 years

Eligibility: Applicants should have qualified in a 3 years B.Sc Degree Examination of a recognized University with Medical Lab Technology/Biotechnology as main subject with Biology/Botany/Zoology as ancillary subject/B.Sc Zoology

No. of Seats: 4 seats (2-UR, 1-OBC & 1-SC)

Method of Selection: MCQ paper in the subject of B.Sc. Medical Lab Technology/Cyto Pathology at the level of B.Sc. standard

M.Sc Medical Physiology-Course Code: 8904

Duration of the Course: 3 years

Eligibility: Applicants should have qualified in B.Sc Nursing, B.Sc (3-years) in Physiology/Biotechnology as main subject with Biology/Botany/Zoology as ancillary subject/B.Sc Zoology or;
Candidates with B.Sc degree in Medical Lab Technology from a recognized University

Mode of Payment:

• Only through Net Banking / Credit Card / Debit Card. Candidate need NOT be sent hard copy of the application to this office
• Online Application User Interface provided in the Annexure VI
• Fees paid through Net Banking / Credit Card / Debit Card will not be refunded under any circumstances. Candidate can apply for only one course. Fees once paid shall not be refunded in any circumstances
