DU Admission 2022: 59,000 Seats Filled Till Now, 14,000 Vacant


New Delhi: Through the three rounds of the Common Seat Allocation System, 59,401 students in all Delhi University colleges have been admitted to undergraduate programmes (CSAS). The university's third round of seat distribution came to an end on November 17. Starting today, November 21, 2022, applicants may submit an application for a DU CSAS slot on the official website, admission.uod.ac.in. The spot round application deadline is November 22 at 4:59 p.m.

According to DU Dean of Admission Haneet Gandhi, more than 2,000 candidates withdrew from the programme, but there are still more than 14,000 open seats. Through spot rounds of seat distribution, these vacant seats will be filled. "To far, 59,401 students have been accepted into the institutions of Delhi University. There are over 14,000 open seats. Between November 21 and November 22, candidates can apply for the first round of slot allocation. On November 23, the initial spot distribution list will be made public. Between November 24 and November 26, the candidates may accept the seats offered. The deadline for online admission fee payments is November 27.

All previously admitted students' admission will be locked following the announcement of the initial spot admission round, and they will not be eligible for upgrade consideration outside of supernumerary upgrades. Upon the announcement of the DU first place admission 2022, the admitted students will not be permitted to cancel their enrollment.

A candidate will be limited to choose one programme after the institution posts information regarding open seats under each programme. The allocations will be made in accordance with the number of available seats, program-specific merit, category, and college preference order.

The university's undergraduate programmes provide 70,000 seats total. Students were also admitted to all supernumerary quotas in the third round of the CSAS, including extracurricular activities (ECA), sports, children/widows of military personnel (CW), and Kashmiri migrants. In ECA and CW, 438 students and 1,372 students, respectively, have been admitted using the sports quota, according to Gandhi.
