Candidates interested to apply for the various Courses at Calcutta University need to check the eligibility criteria thoroughly before applying. Only applications from eligible candidates will be considered for admission through the merit list.

BA Hons Course

To apply to BA Hons Course at Calcutta University, students must have qualified their school passing examination (10+2) with a minimum of 50% Marks

B.Com Course

Candidates interested in applying for B.Com course should have passed their 10+2 examination through any recognised board with a minimum score of 50%. Students having commerce as a subject in their +2 level will be given priority.

B.Sc Courses

To apply to B.Sc courses, candidates must have passed their school passing examination from any recognised board. They must have PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) as subject combination and must keep a minimum score of 50%.                                                    

Calcutta University UG Admission 2022: Selection Process

• Firstly the applicants are shortlisted on the basis of their performance in their 10+2 examination. 
• The university will then release merit lists according to the seat availability. 
• Students will then have to appear for document verification and admission on the stipulated dates at the respective college campus.

Calcutta University UG Admission 2022:How to Apply?

Step 1- Visit the official application portal of Calcutta University

Step 2- Register yourself after filling the required details, such as Mobile number, Email Id etc.

Step 3- Now, login with your registration credentials and fill all details in the Application form.

Step 4- Pay the application fee of 100 INR and submit the Application form. 

Step 5- Applicants must also take a print out of the form for all future needs.

Before sitting down to fill out their University of Calcutta application form 2022, candidates must have the following documents readily available:

• Proof of Date of Birth
• Photocopy of marksheet of class 10th
• Marksheet of Class 12th
• Graduation Marksheet/Qualification certificate (PG Courses)
• Original transfer certificate
• Original migration certificate
• Original bonafide certificate
• Original caste certificate
• Original mark sheet of the last academic and 3 photocopies of it
• Four passport size photographs
