Calcutta University Admission 2022 Open for PhD in Electronic Science; Apply till August 16

New Delhi: Calcutta University is currently accepting applications to its PhD program in Electronic Science for the academic session 2022-23. Interested candidates can apply for admissions on the university's official website at caluniv.ac.in till August 16, 2022. 

As per Calcutta University, the admission window for PhD program is open for those candidates who have completed their M.Sc degree in Electronic Science or Physics discipline with at least 55% marks from any recognized university or institute. 

Additionally, candidates who have an M.E or MTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering or equivalent degree with 60% marks from a recognized university can also apply for the Calcutta University Admission 2022 process.

Calcutta University PhD Admission 2022: Eligibility, Selection Process

Candidates who wish to apply for admission to Calcutta University PhD courses are required to meet the below-mentioned eligibility criteria: 

• M.Sc degree in Electronic Science / Physics with at least 55% marks or an M.E. / MTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering or equivalent degree with 60% marks. 
• Applicants with UGC-CSIR(JRF)/NET/GATE/SLET/SET/M. Phil. M. Tech./M. E. or
• an equivalent qualification can also apply for admission. They will be permitted to appear for the interview round without appearing for the qualifying entrance examination. 
• Selection of applicants will be done based on their marks secured in the qualifying examination and performance in the interview round. 
• During the interview round, candidates are required to submit a one-page Research Proposal.
