Being the Department Head, what are your responsibilities towards the students?

"I am accountable for the overall personality development of students"

I firmly believe that our students and youths have enormous opportunities to build the nation, because their brain is like clay, and we can mold them into great personalities by imparting good knowledge and values. So being the HOD, I always do my best to give them an ambiance where their curiosities and issues can be addressed properly and can be resolved on time.

How do you build healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty?

"By ensuring my support and guidance for them whenever they need me"

To have a cordial relationship with my students and fellow faculty, I always support and guide them to learn and apply their knowledge to innovate something new and solve nation and society problems. And I motivate our faculty to work as a team to ensure excellence in the education that we offer to our students. Apart from this, I am always open to new suggestions from their end and communicate with them regularly.

How do you introduce a practical and industry-oriented approach towards subjects?

"By conducting lot of experiments for each topic we teach to students in classrooms"

We have separate laboratories for each subject and proper guidance is given to students in the lab to perform experiments and practicals. This is how we train our students according to industry needs.

Which prime practices are offered by your department to the students to help them gain necessary skills?

"Technical sessions, seminars and skill development classes are regularly organized by us"

We have added general proficiency classes in our routine to develop the communication skills, teamwork and interpersonal skills in students. Apart from this, we conduct seminars and frequently invite technical professionals from different renowned industries and educational institutions for technical talks. 

How do you design and update the curriculum to make it befitting for the students?

"By including concerned stakeholders, faculties and students in its review process"

We design and update our curriculum after rigorous analysis of industrial development and demands and as and when required top industry experts and academicians. And reviews are also taken from students about what changes they want us to make in the curriculum like more training or events etc. In a four-year curriculum, students get the best knowledge from our faculty and this knowledge enables them to solve real-world issues.

What are your views on the placements of students from your department?

"We have maintained a good placement record and our students are placed in eminent organizations"

Students of our ANM department get placed every year in renowned multinational industries. And this year also we have achieved a stellar record of 90% placement. Lastly, few of our students have also decided to pursue higher studies. 

How do you prepare your students to cope with this competitive world?

"By mentoring them and arranging finest trainings for their skills and personality enhancement"

We rigorously work for our students' development and keep inculcating new skills in them through our guidance, new programs, extracurricular activities and training etc.

How does the curriculum of your department assure the best practices of the industry?

"It includes courses and trainings as per industry standards and requirements"

ANM is a branch which deals with the basics of Nursing in the medical field. And our department has provided a collaborative and open learning environment for free exchange of ideas so that research activities, creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship can flourish and students can achieve their full potential.

Which extracurricular activities are organized in college to enhance the skills of students?

"Various activities in addition to events like professional visits and seminars are organized"

We organize a wide variety of co-curricular activities in our college on a regular basis. In addition to this, events like seminars and educational trips are arranged for students to make them aware about various things at the grassroot level and also to educate them how actually the corporate world operates. 

What challenges have you faced to uplift the education quality of your department?

"As of now we are not facing any hurdles due to tremendous support of our management"

I strongly believe that challenges will always be there and it will be good for us in the long run if we are used to working in a challenging and pressurized environment. Because this kind of ambiance defines and enhances our capabilities and strengths. We have gone through a long continuous development process and have crossed many hurdles, presently we are pioneering in the field of ANM.

How does your department enhance the faculty skills and prepare them as per industry standards?

"By offering them appropriate environment to conduct research projects and arranging training programs"

"Our faculties are main pillars of our strength and resilience"

Our department's greatest strength is our amazing team of highly educated and experienced faculty who strive to bring the best out of students and support them to grow in every possible way.

Any valuable advice which you would like to give to the students to have a prosperous career ahead?

"Build your confidence by developing your skills, don't stay in your comfort zone, try new things"

I would like to advise them to stay focused towards their goals and have faith in their knowledge and capabilities. Also never demoralize yourself and don't feel inferior while representing yourself in front of others. Last but not the least, build yourself in such a way that no one can defeat you except you.
